Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

I'm just hanging out. It's been "interesting" around here. With all the talk of kitties going "raw"...and I don't mean going without collars, mom had to give it a try too. Mom worries about us and whether or not we are getting the right things to eat. We are already on grain free dry food, but mom had thought about cooking for us too. Now she's thinking about skipping the cooking part.

Ellie went nutso when mom brought home some sample beef frozen raw food. Mom thawed out these little nuggets and pandemonium broke out! Little Ellie. Momma to us all. Wee little pussy cat who weighs not a breath more than 7 pounds...pushed us all aside. Rudely. She dove at the food, inhaled it...and proceeded to push us all off our plates so she could steal the food!

Secret is...::whispers:: turns out it was doggie food! Yup! Mom researched the sample online and it was woofie food that Ellie "woofed" down! woooopsss!

Mom went back to the store and got us kitty chicken raw food from "Rad" cat. It's in the refrigerator defrosting so we'll see how it goes. Maybe this time I'll get to actually eat it. Mom said we can sample all the different brands and all the different flavors to figure out what we like. She even ordered a sample of supplements that she can add to raw meat from the grocery store. As long as Ellie doesn't take my share, I'm good with it. And uh, mom...please don't serve the Thanksgiving turkey raw, ok?

Well, Yuu-Chan is definitely a RAW Mancat-in-Training. As soon as the fridge door opens, he hurls himself on the counter, ready to eat everything that comes out of any package... In our case, we just get some raw chicken breast to supplement our regular food. Tama-Chan loves it too, but Sei-Chan is totally uninterested. Go figure...

Good for you, friends! We just wished we had those ready made medallions here too. Mom says she can't prepare the raw herself as it's a science. We say with a bit of research and a good scale she could do it!
And Ellie, that was way cool of you. It's good to be a surprise!

So glad to hear Ellie loved the raw food! She reminds us of our Ferris! We hope you all get a taste of it this time. Our mom is going to make some more for us this week. She has decided to buy all the different supplements from iherb and make the premix herslef. She thinks it will be cheaper than buying the premix already made. Our moms have a lot of work ahead of them to feed all of us kitties!

Boy that raw food must be something. Sounds like you all couldn't get to it fast enough. I cannot believe that you mom was going to cook for you all and also blogs. Sometimes here it is hard to get a post up. Good luck with the food change. Be sure to let us know how it goes.

I just love it when you gossip, Ginger -- I find out the most interesting things! Hehe! That was indeed very funny that Ellie "woofed" down woofie food! I'm surprised Grete didn't have her nose in there, too!

So make sure and let us know how you like this raw food stuff in your house, okay?

We're eating grain free foods now...we're not sure about this raw stuff...mom says she has thought about it...but she says with Ernie's allergies, we probably stick to what we are eating...

But let us know how it goes with all of you.

I'm glad you get to try different samples. I only eat rabbit and chicken and Harley eats rabbit, chicken, beef and venison. Sometimes as a special snack we will get a chunk of raw chicken thigh or gizzard and our Mommeh laughs to see little me gnawing on a hunk of raw meat!

Hey, if I'm hungry and it smells good, then I eat it! I don't care if it's woofie food, people food or whatever! I used to eat lots of raw food, but that's when I was young and used to hunt. Ahhhhh, the taste of warm meat just after the kill! Nothing like that cold stuff out the the fridge box. (Hope I'm not grossing anyone out.)

Is Ellie barking?

Very interesting. I guess I've been quite lucky my 14 years eating canned food and processed food. Mom is afraid to try anything else with me because I've never shown an interest in different food.

Good luck.
