Hello my garden furriends! I hate to disappoint you this week, but I've had limited time in my garden. It's true that even me, Jonesie, will sometimes prefer to sit at the window and view my garden from a distance. When it's wet and muddy, I'm preferring the soft blankie on my comfy couch.
But...we didn't want to leave you without some true garden adventures, so today, my apprentice and brother Figaro will be leading the way. He is known to go out in the pouring rain and doesn't seem to mind it. Don't tell anyone, but he insists on being wrapped up in a towel like a baby when he comes inside.
Dad had to rake up the remains of the garden leaves and Figaro was by his side to interfere help in any way he could.
Dad figures that with Figaro's antics help it takes at least twice as much time to get the work done.
Let this be a lesson my garden furriends. It's not about reducing our humans time on garden work. It's about increasing their appreciation of fallen leaves and sticks.
Nice work Figaro! The garden debris needs a good nibble!
As for me...with the garden well in paw, I'm going to take a well deserved nap.

Jonesie, we much prefer your pawsition of snoopervision!
I am impressed - Figaro did a really good job of making your male human take his time with his job!
That is SOME FANCY MULCH. Srsly, it looks awesome.
Everyone needs a nap sometimes. And wow--that is some mulch...
Hee hee, that's too funny! We think you're smart though, Jonesie, staying in out of the rain!
Purrsonally, I rather love seeing Figaro interferehelp, much as I love when the Gs sabotagehelp me make the bed. srsly.
Compliments to Figaro for all his hard, and good work! We actually posted some "garden" photos today ... take a peek!
Figaro did an excellent job showing the importance of leaves and sticks in the garden and how FUN their clean up can be.
Great job by Figaro. And Jonesie, you sure are smart to delegate when there's rain. :)
Figaro certainly seemed to enjoy his leaf time! Maybe he has some water hound genes?????
Purrs,

Figaro was making a good job of helping in the garden. We like to go out in the rain too, then mum has to dry us with a towel when we come in. We haven't been outdoors much this winter though because our garden has mostly been under a couple of inches of water.
Figaro is really coming along as a good apprentice, Jonesie. But you'll always be the top garden cat to us.
lent work Figgy and Jonesie!
Glogirly says the mulch is nice...but she LOVES LOVES LOVES your pillow with the little squares!
She's nutty like that.

That looked like some fine leaf appreciation going on out there. Makes us want to nap too. Purrs from your friends at Colehauscats.com
Looks like fun but we would rather be inside napping too.

How wonderful!! We love gardening too and are trying to find more ways to convince the humans that raking, pulling weeds, and things of that nature is fun and not hard work!! We also enjoy chasing the lizards... Purrs from the Zee/Zoey gang
