It's spring and the side deck is open for business once again. I love hanging out here. I was having some fun with my momma and Bennette.
Then Bennette decides to climb through the railing...I hear my mom yell NO!
Bennette paused for a moment and then turned away...then she jumped!
What? Momma! Mom! Did you see that? Is Bennette still alive?
You can see by the stunned look on my momma's face that she saw the WHOLE thing!
We looked over the edge and sure enough, there was Bennette. She was totally fine. Do you think she cared that she scared us silly?

What a jump! Our Mom would have been really mad if one of us did that too. I'm so happy Bennette was okay, though. Hope she didn't ruin your balcony privileges

Ayla does that ta us sometimes. She sees a squirrel an just goes runnin right off the high deck. We go over ta the edge ta look ta see the body, but she is fine... We think she just teleports.

Milo: We haff a balcony on the second floor of our house and Mom is scared to open the doors and enjoy the fresh air for just the same reason. She thinks we may jump and it scares her. We're so glad Bennette was OK.
Milo's Mom: We once owned a penthouse apartment which was the entire top floor of a Queen Anne house (built in 1710) - our beautiful lilac point siamese cat Henry jumped from a balcony roof there - and injured himself. He was about 16 years old at the time and I thought it would hasten his death - which broke my heart. But astronomical vet's bills later he fully recovered. It was an awful time when we weren't quite sure if he would survive. He went on to live to be nearly 20 years old.
Yikes! Mom would have been so worried! We're so glad Bennette is not hurt!
Those looks are priceless.. Bet your mums heart was a flutter.

Bennette you silly ladycat! You should listen to your mum. Mum's are very smart. That's what ours always tells us anyway. MOL!

Bennette, Chilli's eyes are all glazed over, she thinks you are totally cool. However, of the two of us, I would be very likely to try such an escape too!
