Welcome back to my garden! Our weather here has been awesome. Purrfect for pawing around the garden and snoopervising.
Dad followed my instructions and got the corn planted. When they grow up, it's fun to play around the stalks.
Our foxgloves are looking very pretty. They grow along side our vegetables. I know you won't read about that in most gardening books, but I think it makes gardens more fun. Why follow the rules? Plant what makes you purr.
I told you about our filbert tree that came down in the rain/wind on Memorial Day. You can see that part of the tree is still standing, but a major part of it is fallen off to the left.
Grete demonstrates how big the section is that is lying on the ground. It makes her look small. Mom and dad are grateful that no furry creatures were under the tree when it fell.
I convinced Dad to let the tree have a chance and see if it will survive. The squirrels love it and we don't want to upset them more than they already are. Grete is offering to console them...but our squirrels aren't that silly.

Oh your poor tree! But it is good to consider that maybe it's alive. The woman is still hoping her stick of a plum tree is secretly alive and just confused, although I think the Male has given up!
And isn't this weather lovely? I don't go out but I've been in the sun shine upstairs all the time!
That's a good one - grievance counseling fur squirrels! Happy Thursday, furriends!
I do hope that your filbert tree survives. The gophers just about destroyed my lilac bush, but it put up some new growth this spring.
How nice that you are growing corn for your humans, Jonesie! They love freshly-picked corn almost as much as we kitties love chicken!
Excellent work Jonesie!
Your garden is looking splendid, Jonesie! And how nice of you to think of the squirrels and leave the filbert tree where it fell. We will cross our paws that it survives,
Purrs,
The Chans
Jonesie, we agree...when it comes to gardening, you should follow your own rules! We hope that tree survives.
We hope your tree survives too!
How lush everything looks. We're having lots of rain these days, so we're not gardening much at the moment.
WOW! You never, ever fail to impress!!!
Jonesie! Your garden is looking so wonderful! Meowm absolutely adores foxgloves!
"Plant what makes you purr."
We LOVE that!!!
: )
Jonesie
you always inspire us!
Grete, Fenris would love to help you console the squirrels.
It has been ages since we grew corn, but Scylla & Charybdis had a ball playing in the stalks when we did.
Ur plants are pretty! :)
Glad someone is having good gardening weather. We sure are not. Too cool and rainy.
Mom loves your garden Jonesie! It is so pawsome, with all the lovely flowers and greenery, and even a woofie too, MOL.

Great job, Jonesie. Those foxgloves sure are pretty. And terrific help by Grete to show how big that section is!
If Grete needs any help, I can help with the squirrel counseling.
AWESOME CORN! We had evil skwerels pull most of ours up so we are replanting. And putting chicken wire around them!!!
Those photos are pretty.
