What I want to know is who spilled the beans? Who among you leaked the super secret password to our garden society? Who let this...this...dog in? He knew it...he looked at me with those sad brown eyes and murmured it under his doggie breath. I heard it. "meow". I had to let him in.
He romped all over my garden. I kept a watch at a distance. And then he did it.
Just like he did with my sister Ginger. He exposed himself to me.
I thought...hmmm. Might be useful. There are construction projects my dad is working on with Figaro. I have no interest in construction, even if it's to help my garden. Maybe this little guy can be useful. I can't quite picture it, but I'm willing to consider it.
Grete agreed to keep an eye on him, but you can see how she turned her back on him. A garden cat's work is never done. Looks like I'm going to have to watch him for awhile. You don't suppose she is the one who gave him the password? My own Grete?
So my furry friends, it's officially autumn. Our sedum "autumn joy" is in bloom. That's one thing I love about my garden. No matter what time of year it is, there is always something in bloom or work to be done. It makes me purr. Below is a close up of the plant.
Please leave a link so we can see what's going on in your garden!

PeeEssWoo: Hi Grete! So, did woo paw a name fur him yet?
I didn't say a word...
Jonesie-buddy...you keep such a nice garden and it seems that Grete is a great help, I'm sure that between the two of you you can keep the new guy under control. He might even be fun and have you asked him about his gardening skills? He COULD be a master gardener for all you know... Your sedum looks lovely...yes, it's nice when there are flowers each time of the year..the work part I could do without!! Oh, there is a big secret in the wind here that we may be getting a 'W O O F I E' !! I don't know what we will do!! Any help you can give, please do!! Purrs, Lautrec
Meow.
Well since he knows the password now, yoo might as well make sure he us useful. He looks BIG and TUFF so maybe helping yoor daddy wiv construction is a good idea.
Afta all ~ yoo don't want to be doing manly stuff like that when yoo can spend yoor time growing beautiful flowers.
Have a great weekend Jonesie. xxx
We promise Jonesie. . . it wasn't us that leaked the password!! Love that Sedum though, so if you can use the D-O-G to do the heavy work it may turn out OK. You can spend more time with the flowers.
you clearly have a mole in your garden... But we think you are being very positive about things. Love Darcy and Bing xx
I still don't trust him - the way he keeps exposing himself to every kitty in sight, I am wondering if he has mental issues!
Puddy say " Not ME ! " : )
Oh, Jonesie, I do hope that Dandi will be more of a help than a hindrance. But I would have a word with Grete about giving him the password. Where is her loyalty?
We swear it wasn't us who told that doggie the password, Jonesie! We only hope that Grete is able to keep him from constantly exposing himself to you girls!
I didn't tell him the password either, but he sure looks like he is going to be cooperative with you!!!
I am co-hosting a blog hop today, please hop by and pawticipate!
Well, Jonesie, we think you should put that Dandi to work in the garden. But if he's like any other woofie we know, he'll want to play more than work, so keep an eye on him!!
The sedum looks great!! We've got some blooming right now too!!
Our mom thinks Dandi is very cute and, who knows, he might be really useful in helping your dad. In any case, it looks like he loves the garden, and that's a good thing!
Your Autumn Joy is beautiful - we have a couple of the tall sedums but not that particular variety. It's a great plant.
Purrs from Franklin (and Dobby and Tasha too!)
At least he's not destroying the garden!
Oh Josie - it wasn't me dat leaked the password - no, not me. (paws to mouth).
Huh. Not Grete. Surely not....
Hmm, he *could* be useful, Jonesie. With sufficient training.
But surely Grete wouldn't betray you by giving him the password? :-O
The sedum is so pretty! How lovely to have blooms in autumn too. :-)
Maybe he can be in charge of digging any holes needed?
It worked again! A big giggle at the "exposure"! Dandi looks so tiny in that picture with Jonesie. What a cutie-pie!
I love those seedums, too. We have them and they're very hardy -- great for autumn -- and they make a nice bouquet in a bowl, too.
Don't worry Jonesie, the more help in the garden, the better. You just have to make sure Dandi knows not to pee on your plots.
How DID that woofie get the password?
We agree, the best thing about the garden is the different plants that bloom at different times. We have a salvia that is just starting to bloom, we love it. xoxo

I'd put my money on Ginger!
Your Autumn Joy is very appropriately named. It's so pretty :)
Sounds like Dandi has a problem with (improper?) exposing.
Those flowers are sure purrty Jonesie...you do such a great job!
Hi we are new followers - we found you on the blog hop today :)
The sedum is gorgeous. Your new gardener is kinda cute.
You now have a multi species garden.
GUESS WHAT!!?? They haven't told us officially, but I just know in my BONES that it is true...I'm going to be getting garden patrol back-up!! Yes, a WOOFIE!! Tiny and I had to wait in the car a LONG TIME today while Mom and Da were doing something and when they FINALLY came back, they smelled of WOOFIE...little woofies. I don't know what to expect, but it won't be saying 'meow'!! I just hope I like it...it'll have to know RIGHT AWAY who the boss is (that would be me, of course!). We've never had a woofie...any suggestions? Of any kind!! Purrs, Lautrec
Oh that Dandi! He is quite the cutie.....for a woofie!
Thanks so much for stopping by and celebrating Maggie May Day with me!!

Mebbe Dandi can be taught ta pull a wagon with garde tools an seedlings in it.
I love the picture of the Autumn Joy. I have them too and just posted my own pictures afore comin here ta see your garden...

Jonesie what a lovely garden guide you are!
Maybe he read your blog? I can't believe Grete did it...
Grete would never do that, would she??? Well, if he's figured out the password, you may as well let him help out, right? After all, he seems like a pretty nice woofie. :)
Holy Cod.
He said "meow"?
We are speechless!
We don't know who gave him the password, but he must be clever to speak two languages.
What a fun household you have! The garden is looking good and the kitties and doggies even better. Have a great wknd!
Beth
