Society of Feline Gardeners-Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

::3 paw taps::

The super secret password has been leaked!!!  As Ginger spilled the beans told you on Tuesday, we had an introoder kitty lurking in our garden.  In our nip!

Since all of us kitties know what it's like to be hungry...we're the first kitties to offer up a free meal.  Bennette was the first to alert mom of the visitor.  This triggers a primal urge to serve up a dish of Fancy Feast.

Mom stood back and waited...
In a few seconds the introoder was sniffing the air with wild excitement and then he/she/it was revealed.

Being me...and the queen of my garden...and Purresident of the Society of Feline Gardeners, I had to go over and introduce myself.  Mom asked me to be nice and let our guest eat.

I did.  This cat had a hearty appetite because all the food was gone quickly!  Not a lick left.  We have not seen the visitor since this past weekend, but we're not sure that means anything because mom and dad don't pay much attention to anything but work mid-week.

We must do something about that.

Dad was busy filling our trailer full of weeds and stuff.

Our first poppy of the season has popped.

Our vegetable bed still hasNOTHING in it.  It's been cold and rainy.  That's no excuse!  I've given my mom and dad a deadline of this coming weekend to get something in the ground.  I've even started hissing at Figaro since I'm so upset about it.

I won't complain too much because I know there are other people in the country who are suffering from horrible weather and tornadoes.  We don't have any of that so I will purr and count my blessings.

Jonesie you are definitely the queen of the garden. We hear the weather has been horrible up there. You are going to really put your paw down to get your Mom and Dad to plant the garden this weekend.

Your Mom was nice to give the introoder some noms. Maybe he/she was just lost and needed a meal?

We have radishes--who apparently love the rain! Your intruder kitty was lucky to get such a good meal!

You guys are so nice to not only let the introoder in, but to feed him/her/it. Can I come introode in your garden? Will you also give me some Fancy Feast?? Our Mom and Dad are the same way PLUS we have been having lots of other people working in our garden and THAT we don't like. I guess some of them have been making a fence so that The Wood doesn't get out and run and play with the neighbor dog so easily. Dawgs. Of course, the fence wouldn't keep us out...we would just jump over or through it or under it. haha! We have no veggies yet either so don't feel bad. purrs to you all, Lautrec, Tiny and EllDawg-oh

The inrooder kit looks cute ~ let us know if he/she visits again. I'm glad yoo dished up the Fancy Feast ~ it's horrid being hungry when yoo're feral.

I hope yoor mom and dad plant the veggies soon ~ otherwise it will be a meagre harvest this Fall!

Love Alfie xx

Nice of you all to treat your introoder and for Jonesie to be so friendly. He/she looks cute.

Our garden is going through the shut-down-for-winter stage. The first frost has come and all the flowers are saying their last goodbyes.

It does seem rather late to still be waiting to plant veggies. Not that I would know - until I happened on your gardening posts, I thought vegetables came from the store, and that was the end of it!

We would have chased the introoder off, if s/he had access to our territory! We hope that kitty is okay and comes back if s/he doesn't have a home.

Hurrah for your poppies! The ones the mom sees on her walks haven't opened yet, but hopefully will soon.

Good job snoopervising your dad's weed removal. Your beans had better take your deadline re: the veggies seriously -- after all, you ARE a Master Gardener and you know best when it comes to stuff like this.

We don't have veggies...the best we have are the "exploding" hostas!

You guys were pretty nice to that introoder...we don't think we woulda been so nice. Maybe he/she was just passing through to wherever he/she was headed? Nice of you to share your noms with him/her.

Hi Jonesie - we are sorry that you don't have a lot growing in the vegetable bed yet but it is still early. And we think that helping that introoder kitty will be good karma so the veggies grow nice and big - we love that you have it as part of your garden post!

We are hoping we will get some rain today. We can hear thunder but so far no raindrops. Please cross your paws that we get some because everything is very dry here.

We thinks you were very nice to let the intruder kitty eat.

How kind of your Mom to feed the hungry kitty, and of you to allow it to eat in peace!

I guess it's still clean up time, and not quite planting time, but I'm sure you'll be a real CATalyst for that, Jonesie! It's up to you to keep your parents GROUNDED!

Lovely colour on that poppy, there!

The weather has not been at all cooperative so far, has it? Even still, your garden is looking quite good! You are INDEED a master gardener.

Your mom is very sweet to feed the intruder kitty. It always makes us happy when a hungry kitty gets a yummy meal. We hope the weather cooperates so you and your mom and dad can get the vegetable garden in shape. The poppy is beautiful!
