Meezer Monday

Being a momma is a full time job. Not only do I have my daughter Cory to watch over, the whole family depends on me. It's my job to wash everyone, be the official family greeter and make sure everyone is getting along.A mothers work is never done My big problem now is this new Mancat Nigel. Both my daughter Cory and I were so in love with our guardian angel cat Jonathan. Nigel looks so much like Jonathan except he's not Jonathan. I know it's not Nigel's fault. I spent a little time with Nigel in his room. We meow at each other and he's perfectly nice...but...I couldn't help myself and I threw a punchy paw at him. I feel terrible. My mom got upset with me and I was asked to leave the room. Nigel was a perfect gentleman and didn't punch back.
Someday I'll learn to love Nigel I'll do better next time. It's my job to be the momma and set a good example for everyone. I really do want Nigel to feel accepted...I just don't like seeing him in my mom's lap. I have my limits.

It was nice of Nigel not to punch back. His mum must have taught him some good manners.

Ellie, you are an inspiration to me. My foster mum tells me about you and your daughter, and I hope that I will be able to raise my babies to be as sweet as Cory.
Love Stella.

Ellie, you're looking especially good in these pictures. Looking at you they will forget the punchy paw in no time. We didn't even know it was a bad thing to do!

Ellie, it's OK - we can't be perfect, even if we are cats!

Well it seems you learned your lesson and feel bad, but if you ever get the urge to do it again, maybe you should be a little sneaker about it.

You two look so cute. It is okay not to like another cat on your person though. That is just rude...

Ellie, we know what you were doing...you gotta make sure Nigel understands the pecking order there and that you are the matriarch!

Ellie, I SO understand. I threw punchy paws at Alfie when he first arrived and I hissed at him too. I wouldn't be without him now though. I'm sure things will get better in time. Try not to worry.

Poor Ellie, we know what you are going thru, only it is our new Gracie that throws the punches. She is jealous of the time Mom gives to us.

You tested Nigel and he passed with flying colors. Since he was a perfect gentleman, it sounds like he is adjusting to his new home, and is open to making friends.

LIfe isn't full of roses and purrs all the time! Just ride the waves, so to speak, Ellie. Things will turn around!!!
