Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden.  As you can see behind me, dad has been very productive getting the garden beds cleaned out.  He's also been very busy trying to keep up with the mowing.   The grass grows so fast around here and it will be another month or so before it slows down.

Did you notice the pretty Rhododendron behind me?

Here, take a closer look.

Mom left some sticks in my garden.  Last year these were used to mark where she planted the rows of seeds.

Being a skilled garden cat, I'd like to demonstrate additional uses.  Sometimes plant stakes and garden markers are the best for getting at an itch.

Be creative!  That's what I always meow.

The cherry tree is full of white blossoms.  I know mom gets all excited at the thought of cherries.  She loves to eat them.  Cory loves to play with them.  To Cory, this is a toy tree.

I'm finishing up my final inspection of the lawn...can you believe dad left some dandelions?  I better have a chat with him.

You do a really good job in your garden. We wish our Mommy would do the same with our teeny little garden.

What beautiful flowers you have in your garden Jonesie. Our garden is not looking so good thanks to the never ended winter we had recently.

Oh, my! Your garden is pretty. The Rhododendron is gorgeous. Sweet Jonesie we learned yesterday the honey bees love dandelions and since we need the bees to pollinate plants maybe your dad left those there for the bees, you think? Hugs and nose kisses

We'd love a cherry tree, too! I love to eat them like grapes (with big seeds :)

Every yard needs a few dandelions. They are really cheerful in all that green grass!

Oh Miss Josie! We enjoy your garden very much. None of us are allowed outdoors. Well, 3 of us have never shown an interest, and then there's Hitch. I'll have to tell you about him sometime. Our daffodils have all gone now and the tulips and hyacinth are in full bloom. They soon be gone and the lilies will appear. The HuMom's mom was sure right about that planting of bulbs! It's nice to see them every year.

Who knew cherry trees were so versatile? They make flowers, food, and toys!

We kinda like Dandelions and did you know you can eat them in salads and make Dandelion Wine from them?

The cherry tree is lovely we had several once but after living a year and looking real purrty when they bloomed they keeled over dead. ~Socks
