Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Oh these are sad days in the garden.  It's officially Spring but my paws tell me it's still Winter.  I feel like I've transformed unwillingly from Jonesie, Master Gardener and Queen of My Yard...to Jonesie, the Weather Cat.

Sigh.

The view this past morning was depressing...but then tonight...

Ugh. It got worse.

Snow.

There's no point in me even trying to step a paw outside.  Aside from the weather, there was a bright spot in my week.  My mom and dad informed me that the evil Jack Russel Terror who tried to murder me last summer has moved away.   That made me purr.   Mom and dad will still repair the fence when decent weather returns before I'm let outside again.

So...I've been enjoying my couch and blankie.  We even put a fire in the fireplace again.

See how I'm showing you the left side of my pretty face?  Well...here's a little secret.  When mom came home last night she saw that my face was all puffed up.  She freaked out a bit so I was hauled off to the v-e-t to get it checked out.   I sang quite the song on the way there!   I'm now on medicine for a week.  The vet is not sure if someone bopped me (Figaro!!!!) or if I just scratched myself since I do that when I get issues with my Rodent Ulcers.  They had to shave some furs off my face and in the process a few of my whiskers are  no more.  Mom tried to salvage them and take them home but she dropped them.

Sigh.

So...anyway, for my furriends, here are my toesies!
All 4 in one shot!  See how nice and clean they are?  I hope to get dirt on them soon!

Oh, Jonesie...it's been quite a week for you! So sorry about the whole shaving of the whiskers thing. That's just not right.

Glogirly bust out laughing at your line about the murderous Jack Russel. I frankly don't see the humor. I sure hope he gets put on some public predator list so his next neighbors are in the know.

Despite it all, those toes are looking fine.

I think your rodent ulcers are acting up out of frustration for not being able to get back to gardening, Jonesie! I hope you heal up soon, and now that that awful dog is gone you will be able to get your paws dirty in peace.

Jonesie love, you are welcome to come and work your magic in our garden if you'd like. If Lishy's grey and black paws are any indication, your toesies could get nice and grubby very quickly!

Rodent Ulcers? I'll have to google that. Bless your heart. Does having missing whiskers make you walk all crookedy? You rest in front of the fireplace with your blankie honey pie. The garden will wait. srsly.

Jonesie, the biggest bright spot definitely is that nasty dog has moved away. Good! We hope that any new four-legged (and two!) neighbours are friendly and kind.

We also hope your temps warm up and that your garden dries out.

We've had glorious weather here, atypically *warm*, but are going back down closer to normal this weekend.

As for the trip to the v-e-t...ugh. We hope your face is better soon and that your whiskers grow back quickly!

Oh, that is the best news that that mean doggie has moved away.. We'll hope the new people moving don't have a doggie - NONE! Then there isn't a worry,

Well, on the bright side, you are an excellent weather cat, Jonesie. We don't even have a new blog post today because our Mom is lazy. Hope your Spring weather returns soon!

Pouring down rain here. It seems to be following Mommy around. It was pretty warm and sunny here last weekend but she was in San Diego with Daddy where it was raining and cold. Now she is home and it is pouring down rain here. She just can't seem to escape it.

So relieved that terrible evil dog is gone and you'll be able to go in the backyard. I'm sure the garden is not up to snuff in your absence! We like your clean tootsies and tufts!

I feel your pain... the loss of even one whisker is traumatic. I think they'll grow back though... will they not?

But that murderer having moved away, that's a good thing, right? Oh, I'm sure of it.

And, your tooties are beautiful! Lovely stuff!!!

We are glad the evil dog has gone. We hope your face is soon better and your fur soon grows back.
Mum planted her tomato seeds a week ago and they are up already. She planted watermelon seeds at the same time and one of those is already up as well. They usually take about 3 weeks.

Jonesie, your purrfect paws will dig the dirt soon enough. In the meantime try to relax a bit more and grow those furs back. We do wonder what happened to you... Get well soon!
