He there! Yeah, I know. This is not dirt I'm sitting on and the rug next to me is not grass. I have a good excuse. The weather here is yucky! First we got a dusting of snow and now it's turned to heavy rain. It's enough to make a garden cat want to fly south for the winter.
But the dreary days of January are meant for one thing...besides snuggling with your mom and dad by the fire.
Yes, it's time to start planning the spring garden! I'm starting to paw through Renee's Garden website. It's where I got my super fabulous seeds last year. My purrsonal favorites were the Jewell Toned Blend Beets and the Tricolor Circus Circus Carrots!
And...so you know how fabulous Renee's Garden is...if you enter code FR227A
when you check out...they will donate 25% of the cost of the order to United Paws! United Paws is the amazing rescue group that saved Ellie and Cory and countless other kitties.
So here is my view of the snow from the window.
I know we didn't get much, but even a little bit of snow is not comfortable on the paws.
Even the deck is not very inviting.
So back to the computer and time to buy seeds!
Pee Ess...if Renees Garden Seeds sounds familiar, it's where Raymond and Busby's mom works! All the more reason to pay them a visit!
****we do not receive any free seeds from Renee's Garden...we just think they are cool all on our own****

Planning a garden sounds like fun...unless you have a (loser) Mom like ours. Enjoy your seed shopping!!
The Florida Furkids
Our mom doesn't do "real" plants because she says her thumb isn't green.
Pee ess - Cory must be visiting Brulee when we aren't looking because Brulee suddenly has a passion for mom's socks and knee highs. They are all over the house!!!
Planning the garden! Already! Not at our house!
BTW My Mommy loves your Mommy's socks!
Kisses

It looks miserable out there, Jonesie! Definitely a good time to be inside planning for the spring!
Stay inside where it's warm! The garden will be there when the weather cooperates again and in the meantime, time for warm snuggles!
What dreary weather you are having, Jonesie. We are hoping for rain tomorrow, after six weeks with no rain, we need it!
Mom says to remind the folks at United Paws to fill out the letter they got with their donation check from Renee's & send it back to renew their code for 2012.
We hope a LOT of folks buy seeds and use the United Paws code!
Enjoy WATCHING the snow, kitties. Jonesie, planning for seeds sounds like a very good idea!
We'll leave the gardening to you. Our Mom can kill even the "easiest" to grow plants. Expecting her grow something from seeds (and have it survive) is like expecting it to snow here.
We can't wait for Spring so we can see you tend to your garden again.
We thinks your garden is beautiful even with the snow falling. It's just sleeping til spring. Stay warm. (and dry) xoxo
Oh my! Your garden is doing better than ours. Our poor newly planted bushes are all buried under snow (completely!) We have like a foot or there abouts. I could drown in the snow!
what weather and its reached us here too... but choosing seeds inside is fun too. Love Darcy and Bingley xx
.. just popped over the Renees garden site and its wonderful. Thanks! will explore further... Love Helen
We thought you were gonna get a lotta snow!! Grete woulda been really happy!! We hope your weather improves so you can get out into your garden, Jonesie!!
We think you're being very proactive, planning your garden now. Your growing season starts early and lasts a long time, so it's wise to get going now.
And it's definitely better to stay *indoors* out of that weather!
We wish we had a garden! Those seeds sound fun!
One of my favorite winter things--what to plant in the spring! Our winter has been so weird this year--supposed to be up to 54 degrees on Sunday!
At least the snow and rain are getting your garden ready for spring!!
Happy Thursday,
~ Jasmine and The Bunch
Jonesie it looks pretty dreary out there, best to stay warm and cozy inside for the time being :-)
Those seeds sound great, Jonesie! Thanks for the code. :)
Stay inside ... it's frightful out there!
We will go check out Renee's. Thanks for the info.
Jonesie, are you going to plant somenew purrty flowers this year? We hope so!
Gosh sorry about the rough weather! You just never know how it's going to be in the winter time... :/ I can't wait to see how the garden plans turn out... and it sounds like you are gardening for a good cause this year! How exciting! Thanks for letting us know about such a cool organization... I'll definitely check it out when I'm done with this post which is... now! :)

Jonesie, sorry I'm late over! Mom has been a bit busy this week and she didn't have time to help me wiv a gardening post ~ so she said I can have a nice long post this coming week. Nuffin much happened here anyway 'cos the weather has been too wintery.
I love seeing your pics of the snow.
Love Alfie xx
Our Mommy does not have a green thumb, but we are always amazed at your lovely garden, beautiful Jonesie...Sorry about the bad weather, but you probably need to rest up for future planting and supervising...Happy weekend, sweet friends...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
It's nearly time to start thinking about the garden again. Our weather has been pretty warm this winter, and so much is already blooming!
We haven't been around much lately. Thank you for your caring words on Abby. They are so appreciated at this time when the Mom is freaking out over her illness.

YOu are so precious looking. My mommy wants to kiss you.
Jonesie, darling, you are sooooooo pretty! How can anyone be bothered to look at plants when your face is turned up like that??
We're sorry the weather there is so yucky now. We think circus carrots sound like a very interesting addition to your garden. You might need to plant peanuts too if the circus has elephants.
Ok, so it seems that I, Princess Ginger Snap/ Ninja Ginja/ Giga-bite (geez, I have so many names its amazing I answer to any of them!) have inherited the gardening and public relations job (until some bossy new meezer overthrows me - yah! I'd like to see THAT) so here I am to report in that we too have snow sludge out there but our bird tv is workin overtime and its great! but those are other kinds of seeds that they get - we're gonna go check out Renee's seeds right away! Mom needs some cheerin up (btw, she cried when she got your card in the mail - not just for Lolo, but because she was so touched by your thoughtfulness!) and seed shopping just might help! Me, I'm happy to keep Mom's feet warm here in the house...no way would I go out in that #%^*+ weather...no dawg in their right mind would! I heard that...you just said: 'but Ginger, you are a crazy dawg!'....ahhh, crazy maybe but not dumb!!! I'm stayin put where it is warm and dry!! thanks again so much for thinkin of us.... we love you guys!!!!
p.s. we are bummed...BUMMED!! Renee doesn't ship to Europe. :o(
Cory! I lubbed that song! Lubbed it!! And U know, I have not stopped to consider what 'zackly I am King of. Glogirly didded not tell me that information. But I'll tell you what, I think I will be King of San Francisco. How's that? I think it's about the right number of subjects--any more would be unwieldy and any fewer would not provide me with enough adulation. So yeah, King of SF. Now, if only I could publish a Royal Decree ordering the Forty-Niners to win today....
OMD, you are already planning a garden??? Spring IS coming, I'm sooo happy :)
