::Meowwww::
Hi there my furriends and Garden Society members! I'm still reporting from inside the house. I'm still hoping dad and Grete come up with a solution for me so I can get back outside for at least part time garden snoopervision by spring.
Grete has been a big help to me.
She watches out the window so see if there are any evil introoders.
All we can see are these fat squirrels. Can you believe that dad insists on feeding them?
Enough of watching from the window for Grete...off she goes to investigate every corner of the yard with her trusty squeaky ball. If the squirrels get too cheeky with her, she squeaks the ball at them and they laugh run!
Here is the spot in the back fence where the coyote got in/out! It's such a small space, but my dad saw it happen...and there was even coyote furs left on the chain link! Whoa! We had no idea they could get under such a small space. Dad will see if he can dig a trench and put fencing under the ground so no one can dig in. That will be a big project so I don't know if it will be ready by spring.
Good news is that mom and dad have been watching closely and there have been no more visits by the evil coyote.
While Grete was out she spotted interesting things growing in the garden.
There was even a lone rose blossom! How cool is that?

Be careful! Those squirrel look quite vishus, too! xoxo
I think the garden is lonely and missing you, Jonesy! Not sure the same is true about those squirrels.
That is an evil wicked squirrel I know. I hope Grete gets it for you. And I can't wait--maybe here I'll have a garden!
That coyote must have been hungry for a fat squirrel!
OMC a COYOTE??? that is scary! Keep safe you cats - and Grete.
Meow from Au, Guido and Target.
Thank goodness your Daddy's found out the entry points of the coyote! At least now he can do something to keep them out.
Hi Jonesie!
Well I hope your dad can fix the fence soon ~ but I'd rather you were safe than we were all sorry. So how ever long it takes is OK by me. Coyotees sound pretty scary to me.
Grete is doing a great job ~ do you think we should make her an honoury member of your society? I'd 2nd her membership for sure.
Love the rose blossom.
Love Alfie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Jonesie, we are so sorry that circumstances mean you can't go out in your garden. But for sure you don't want to take chances with coyotes.
Hope the Dad can get the fence coyote proofed by Spring.
The blooming rose is lovely. Fenris likes to chase squirrels, he asked if he could come chase squirrels with Grete one day.
We hope those coyotes find some other place to hang out rather than your garden, Jonesie!
Our mom feeds the squirrels too...she says it's for us...to give us some good Squirrel TV to watch.
We really hope your dad will be able to make your garden safe by the spring so you can enjoy it once more. In the meantime, great job, Grete Woofie!
Amazing rose blossom! We have an azalea that is about to bloom!

That's truly crazy that the coyote could squeeze through that teensy opening! My oh my, why is it so difficult to have a safe yard so one can garden in peace?!
Wow, I can't believe the coyote could squeeze through such a small space!!! A trench with more fencing is a great idea, but yes, a very big job indeed!!!
It's amazing that there is still some life left in your wonderful garden.
Oh Jonesie, we so hope a solution can be found to make it safe for you and the other kitties to go outdoors again.
Our Odin has caught several squirrels but thankfully there have been no coyote sightings. Your rose is exquisite!
Yous has a flower? That is definately NOT fair! But then we don't has very much snow, so me can not complain.
Kisses
Nellie
Jonesie, we sure hope you can go out again soon...tell your sister Cory to stop over, we did a post JUST for her this Thursday!
The Big Thing here... I've had the same problem with groundhogs digging under the fence. I'm going to attach an "L" shaped piece of metal fencing on the outside of the bottom of the fence. I don't think the critters are smart enough to start digging from 2' away.
I think those ebil squirrels are so fat cuase your dad keeps feeding them, MOL!
You know, Jonesie, this might seem undignified to a fine famous Kitteh such as yourself, but the Human used to have a kitty that like walkies out on the busy street (we don't have any yard here), so she bought him a little harness and took him for supervised outside walks. Perhaps your pawrents might think about that as a temporary solution till the fence gets made all safer?
fascinating. We hope that the fence can be done to make you all secure. Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx
It is very scary that a coyote dug his way into your garden.
It looks very wet in your garden! Glad to see Grete is looking after you.
We are glad you guys are looking out for those evil intruders and each other!...Loved the post with Cory comforting herself with her beloved sock!!...Happy weekend, precious friends...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
Hi Kitties! Hope you are staying warm and dry, watching squirrel TV!
Mom and I think khoyotes are khool -

Maybe that's why your dad feeds the skhwirrels!

PeeEssWoo: Oh Grete - KHATS ;-)
A coyote coming under your fence is very scary! We hope your dad can take care of the fencing so it can't come back.
How is Ginger doing? We still have the purrs badge in our sidebar and thought we'd ask before removing it, in case we need to leave it there.
We think it is great that your dad feeds the squirrels. Squirrels are excellent entertainment for kitties to watch from the warm, cozy indoors. We're surprised that the coyote could fit through such a tiny gap to get inside your yard. We are very glad your mom and dad are making sure you kitties are safe now that they know coyotes can get in.
Hi Cory and efurrybuddy! Just stopping by to say hello ion Easy Sunday! Hope you are all having a restful day!
