My furriends! Although it's been pouring down rain here this past week, I did manage to get in one fantastic day of sunshine and dry weather in the garden last Saturday. I had previously given up on my garden, but found that there were still plenty of things still growing and needing my attention. I also had to remind mom that she can't just pack it in for the fall/winter. There is still stuff to do!
Pears are falling to the ground and they need rescuing!
We still have tomatoes clinging to life.
The sedum that was just barely pink a few weeks ago is now deep pink.
The happy dahlia reminds us of a sunbeam!
These are berries in our devil's walking cane tree. There are pigeons who come to our tree every fall to eat these berries. They are spooky birdies since whenever mom or dad gets too close they fly away and stop eating. That makes us feel bad so we watch from a distance so they can eat all they want.
I know...I know...mom and dad need to pick up these pears. They are EVERYWHERE!
You didn't think I'd end this garden post in October without a shot of my pretty 'tocks, did you? A classic pose...with garden leaf!
Enjoy your gardens my furriends!

Wow, Jonesie, you still have so much going on in your garden! You'd better get your humans working!
Great tock shot! We luf the dahlia. Beautiful! xoxo
We still have some tomatoes too! But I do not know if all will get harvested as some are still pretty green. They may or may not turn but they won't turn before we leave! Darn!

What a lovely family you have, and I love the last picture of your beautiful tail.
Wish I could come and help mom to pick up some of those pears. We need to go check on our apples again. Rappy.
Great pictures Jonesie and great tocks!
How nice you got a good day out in your garden, Jonesie! Our flowers are all gone now...and mom has been doing lots of garden clean up lately. Great 'tocks shot!!
What a glorious dahlia! You and your parents have skillz, Jonesie. My parents got in trouble for even killing the grass when the landlady came round last week...
It's good to see you're utilising your 'tocks as leaf transportation. I once kept a spider in mine, it popped out when mum was brushing me! :)

Wow! You have so much still growing in your garden. Our garden has suffered this year due to the bizarre weather we've been having.
A great garden and treat tocks!
Your garden still is gorgeous, Jonesie, with such lovely blooms. And the tomatoes!
Do your humans do anything with the pears? Jams or jellies? What exactly does one do with an abundance of pears?
We love the dahlia, yellow is our favorite color after blue and the two look smashing together.
MOL, we still have a tomato growing and doing well in the compost pile but the ones Daddy planted and slaved over died months ago.
You're lucky to have so many ripe tomatoes! My huwoman has lots of tomatoes, but they're all green. She says this is the worst tomato harvest ever. George aka Captain Cat-tastic

The dahlia made me smile. Love your garden!
Still a beautiful garden! That woman's mom used to can pears, so there would be some of their sweetness all winter. Such a nice sunny day!
