::purrr::
Hello my furry friends and Garden Society members! I am finally outside again. Only for brief periods of time, but I'll take what I can get. As you can see, everything has fallen apart while I've been stuck inside.
Kale and Swiss Chard run amok. It's enough to make me want to find new parents. They tried to tell me they didn't have the heart to garden without me, but I think it's just an excuse. They've been lazy. They claim they have been busy, but I'm not buying it. They know how much my garden means to me. How much pride I take in a garden well tended. By this time last year, everything was neatly put to bed.
You might have noticed my nice new hot pink collar. I needed a new one because I clawed up my last one. I really think this one shows off my grey and white fur nicely.
Oh wow, the breeze in my fur feels SO good! It's been way too long.
Ahem...another reason the garden is a mess. My sister Ginger has been no help at all in the snoopervision department.
Hope your gardens are doing better than mine! Maybe I need to do a post on how to catch up when all looks hopeless.

I think even the best cared for gardens tend to fall apart this time of year...
Oh gee, sorry to hear about the state of your garden. Love your new pink collar though.
Oh Jonesie! It definitely looks like the garden suffered without your snoopervision. You really need to put your paw down and get your humans back to work.
We think our backyard garden is doing okay with the pansies and English bells. However, we are concerned for our Japanese Maple tree which had spider mites this past Fall. Too wet and gloomy for photos today. Hopefully next week.
There is a time ta let the gardens go fer the Winter... The Beins just AREN'T gonna go out an do anny useful werk when it is below freezin!

I love yoor noo pink collar ~ yoo look very smart in it. An' I fink a post on "how to catch up in the garden, when all looks hopeless" is an excellent idea.
Ginger is a bit like Milo ~ lazy!
Love Alfie xxxx
I can see Ginger has been NO help at all! Or your humans! Your poor garden!
This is what happens when you're not able to get out and snoopervise your humans! Well, we're sure you'll get the garden in shape for the winter, Jonesie, we have every confidence in you (and Apprentice Figaro).
Our garden is frozen and white this week, but we do have a post! :-)
It's so good to see you outside again, Jonesie. Your garden really needs you.
I'm so sorry about your garden but I think all will come back when spring : )
And Yes, I agree, Pink Collar suit you : )
We loves your pink collar. (Sigh) we has to say that our garden is a mess now. It looked great last week, when Mommy took the pictures for out post but then Monday we got a hard frost and now we has dead plants all over the place and the Mom claims it is too cold to go cut them back like a good gardner would. Humans!!!!
Oh, Jonesie, we're sorry your humans have not been doing their jobs and taking care of your garden. That's just so sad...
But we like your collar! It really does show off nicely against your furs.
Poor Jonsie, it is a busy time of year and somethimes things fall by the wayside...unfortunately your garden. I'm sure your mum and dad will get things back in order with your help of course :-)
Your new pink collar is beautiful
But Jonesie, Ginger will have stopped the garden freezing over. Because she is HOT! ;)
I'm sure you'll get the kale under control in no time :)
Poor Jonesie! All that hard work and look what happens!
Oh well, at least you got to feel the wind in your furs again. And that hot pink collar is to die for! It looks stunning on you and is a purrfect foil to your beautiful gray coat.
Ginger obviously has her own PURRiorities. LOL!
::purr::
Your skills have obviously been missed. have they let you out because it is too cold for the fleas now?
Take a break and do a big tidyup in Feb!
The new collar looks fabulous, Jonesie! We totally understand about the garden at this time of year. After all, you are a Master Gardener, NOT a miracle worker, right? :)
Looks like you need to wake up the beans in the early hours of the morning for a few days! Then they might reconsider their gardening....
we loved your new collar and do understand that it is hard to delegate when the work just doesn't get done! Love Darcy and Bingley xx
Hi Jonesie,
We're slow getting around this week but our garden is REALLY bad! Momma's been blaming the weather but I don't know. . . .
Pink suits you Jonesie!
Sorry about the mess, ours still looks like crap. The PM was supposed to do a smoother mulch this Fall so that the veg garden would be ready to plant next year but she didn't. It will be a real mess next Spring for sure. She also found two Cercopia moth cocoons on some tall weeds and they only emerge the end of June so I bet it's a no go on the veggie patch again next Spring. She may just cut her loses and start a new garden somewhere else.

ps~ it's a good thing the PM read over her comment before she sent it as she had put OINK instead of PINK! Now that would have been mighty rude sounding!!
