Meow!
These pictures were taken earlier in the week. Before the sky opened up and bucketed down rain on us. There's nothing quite like springtime in the Pacific Northwest. Sun, rain, sun, wind, hail...all in the same day!
Our red poppy has popped! We don't have very many, so they are special to us.
Our foxglove garden is also doing great. Dad loves foxgloves. So do I.
I ended up spending some time babysitting the vegetables. We have not yet planted the basil and parsley because mom wants the weather to be a bit warmer. No matter what, they are going in the ground on Memorial Day weekend. Mom's got to have her basil and I need to do whatever I can to make sure it's warm enough. Even if I have to lend some fur to the project.
My woofie Grete is my pal. I know I'm blowing raspberries at her in this picture...but remember that raspberries are soft and sweet. My Grete is soft and sweet too. She takes care of me and won't let anyone mess with me. I'm hoping she'll help me inspect the new composter that mom and dad brought home. I think it's a little strange, but I'll get used to it. Anything that's good for the garden is ok by me.
After a day of work in the yard, bath time is always the best time of day. Hope you get to enjoy your garden this weekend. Plant some nip for me, ok?
My linkie thingie didn't work last week so hopefully it will work this week so I can see what's going on with you!

Jonsie,
The Garden's looking good!
It's been a strange Spring here in the West...we've had record cold days in Vegas! All those storms coming in from the Pacific must be keeping your furs uncomfortably damp. And chilly.
What a lovely garden you have. I am hoping all this rain will go away soon. I am tired of it!
Your garden is looking lovely. It's the grey, wet season for us here. Enough said, I am going back to the warm bed.
Your garden is so nice, and you're so lucky to have such a good friend as Grete.
We think your beauty makes the garden grow better.
Grete makes a wonderful gardening assistant. Yoo are very lucky. Milo is a bit lazy; he just lays arounds watching!
We love yoor poppy. Poppies are speshull "Lest We Forget".

We love visiting your garden because it's so neat and orderly! And Yay for the foxgloves!! They're our favorite too.
baby sitting the seedlings - how SWEET! Its raining here too, after a hot, hot week. Love Darcy and Bingley xx
Your poppy is so pretty, you have been working hard in the garden. I think we need you to lend a paw here because mama keeps killing her basil plant (I know nothing about what happend to it - honest).
The garden looks better and better each week, Jonesie!!
Wow your foxgloves are huge. Ours are just babies in comparison. Any tips on foxglove care? Actually we are just pleased as punch they came back up.
We had a big hail storm here yesterday! It was crazy!
Your garden is looking almost as gorgeous as you, Jonesie!
Jonesie, you are in prime belleh snorgle position right there!
Your garden is doing so well, everything looks great! All due to your talents, Jonesie!
BTW, yes our human has fresh nip growing in a big pot in our little garden; yay!
How do you join the club? Looks like a lot of fun. our mom gardens a lot and we get to snoopervise some.
Hmmm, maybe we should have held off on planting our basil? We planted it last week and it looks pathetic. (there's a photo of it in our blog today)We are having cool weather and rain too.
We love that Grete looks out for you, Jonesie. What a good woofie.
Good luck with the compost monster! Your garden is so great.
The link to mhy gardening post is to an old post of mine about Catolympics - probably my error. But my real post is at

WOO~HOO, a Popped Poppie! SWEET!
I think is sweet that you and Grete get along.
Looks like the veggies are underway and the flowers are beautiful. You're a great gardener Jonesie.
Your garden's looking great as always, Jonesie...Nice to see beautiful, sweet Grete hanging out with you...Love the belly shot, those are the best=Mommy wants to rub your gorgeous fluffy furs sweetie...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
Just wanted to add, thanks for okaying us to be members! Not sure what we'll do in the winter, though. Post pics of the frozen ground and snow drifts....MOL!
You and your garden are both looking mighty fine, Jonesie. xxxxxxx
We cannot wait to see your foxgloves flower. We love them too.
Those are lovely words about Grete, Jonesie!
Foxgloves grow wild in huge numbers in the wodds around here, so few people have them in their gardens!
We keep having more and more rain here too. It is so good of you Jonesie to be willing to warm up that basil just so your Mom can have some!
Yoo know we had the most bestest sunshine fer 3 days and den last night it got dark real quick. Next fing yoo know we was hidin out under the beds acuz the thunder, wind, rain and hail. :P phoooey on dat weather

Your poppies and other flowers are simply lovely. I see you grow them the hard way (from the ground up) -- not like me who puts already grown plants in pots!
You are right to make sure you grow basil! I always do, too! There's nothing like fresh herbs in general, but basil's the best!
You're doing a fantastic job, as always, Jonesie -- and you're on the LOLSpot today, too! You always give me such great material.
Your garden is looking lovely. We can see you work very hard at it.
Every garden needs cat hair to grow properly!
BTW, I have something for you on my blog:

What a lovely garden you have to play in, Jonesie! I thought of your sisters when I was looking at the Swiss chard in my garden today - and that video where they are munching on the greens!
Beth and Gracie
p.s. there were 4 foxes playing in our garden today and we did manage to get some pics and post them.
Oooo!! We love to garden!! We were just helping Mom today! Maybe next week we can be part of your society!! You look like a really good gardener..I bet flowers bloom just for you!! I especially like that tummy shot...you have a great tummy! I like the foxglove and the poppies, but hey, don't eat those foxglove, please cuz they are really dangerous. OK? We've had really rotten spring weather here (in the Czech Republic), too...today, for example, it was rainy so Mom made a fire inside, then, just when the fire started heating up, the sun came out, so Mom went out and started working in the garden only to be chased back inside when the rain came again...and it went like this all day long!! At one point there was a BIG THUNDER STORM!!!! Then the sun came out!! Crazy weather!! Maybe if your Mom puts a 'cloche' over her basil it will be ok until the weather warms up and becomes summer-y. Good luck! Thanks for sharing those great garden pictures, we really enjoyed them!! Purrs, Lautrec and Tiny
What a lovely floofy tummy, Jonesie! Once Mom saw that she forgot everything else you saided before that.
PS. Hi, Cory xo♥
Your garden is looking fabulous, Jonesie!
This is a great garden post Jonesie! We had rain here too - but with no garden that needs it we kind of wish it would just go. We think you will do a great job of keeping everything warm so it grows really well - and we are sure you will get used to that composter, especially with Grete by your side!
You have some pretty flowers blooming away there, Jonesie! Hopefully you'll get some garden time this weekend.
Purrs and hugs,
The Kitty Krew
Great garden tour!
Just one thought. Yer Bein can put the basil out early iffen it is protected even a little bit.
A bucket over it overnight is easiest. A cone of clear plastic sheet is better. Placing a brick next to it to warm it overnight helps.
Basil is so sensitive to cold weather, anything helps.
Beautiful pictures! You did a great job helping in the garden.
Thanks for coming by my party! Thanks for being our friends!
Great pics! Although we're not sure about being friends with woofies - We'll take your word that it's a good thing!
We especially like the picture of you sprawled out on the grass - you look sooo comfy!
Have a Happy Holiday Weekend!
~Nico & JayJay :)
