Meow! I want to thank all my furriends for sending me purrs while I was sick. I have a condition called rodent ulcers, or the more technical name for it is eosinophilic ulcers. Mostly I just get a puffy lip and mom gives me prednisone pills, but sometimes it comes out in very strange ways. This time I got a tongue ulcer and I didn't want to eat or drink even though I was hungry and thirsty. That made mom and dad freak out. The emergency v-e-t thought it might be related to a respiratory infection, but when I went back to my regular v-e-t that wasn't the problem.
My good pal Alfie Marshall teleported over while I was stuck in the house recovering. Once he found out that I wasn't contagious or anything like that, he insisted on visiting. He sat on the cat tree with me and we looked out at the garden together, making plans for gardens and garden parties I let him have the top shelf. He couldn't stay long because he had to get back home, but I love that he wanted to spend some time with me. He makes me purrr.
I was a little hissed off at Ginger for telling stories about me. A girl needs her privacy where certain things are concerned. Mom and dad were really good about making sure my fur was all clean and mom brushed and groomed me. I think I have a new little friend, named Jonesie Jr. with all the fur she got off of me!
You'd think that Ginger would help out in the garden while I couldn't....but no. All she does is roll and expose her belly. She thinks that is helpful, but it's just a distraction.
Being a garden cat is hard work. It's work I adore. I expose my belly, but only after the hard work is done.
The magnolia tree is in bloom, can you see me behind it?
Mom's favorite daisies are back too. Spring has sprung...and I've been sprung to be free to be in my garden once again. My ulcer is almost all gone and I'm feeling so much better. All those purrs worked wonders for me and I can now get back to taking care of my garden.

I am on a trip to a faraway place and can't post about my garden this week. Will be back ext week. Not tht there is much happening as the cool weather is descending on us rather quickly.
Gee, SS pressed the buton too quickly, before I finished dictating. Really, I need a better typist!

Jonesie, we're glad you're feeling better! I get the ulcers too...I've never had one on my tongue though...right now I have a bad one on my lip...my mom and the vet thinks that I get them due to the change in the seasons...I always have problems in the spring and fall. Your garden is looking good! We're still waiting for spring to spring here...but it may today because it's supposed to be 80 degrees!! Whoohoo!

Thanks so much for stopping by and wishing me a Happy Birthday!

We're so glad you're feeling better now, Jonesie! Yay! And how lovely of Alfie to visit--we're sure that was fun! :-)
Poor Jonesie! That is exactly what Harley gets, only his are usually on his lips, and he also gets linear granulomas down the backs of his thighs that are like long scabs. I'm glad the prednisone helped. We keep some on hand and at the first sign of an outbreak, Harley gets started. Luckily he is outgrowing it, I guess, because he is having far fewer ulcers (only about 1 every 3 months or so). We think Harley might be reacting to brewer's yeast and/or fish, which is in most foods, so we avoid that.
We're very happy that you're feeling better, Jonesie! Your garden is simply beautiful!
We're so happy to hear that you are better. Your garden is looking pretty with those nice Spring colors.

Your garden is looking good, Jonesie.....we can see that you put a lot of hard work in it.
We are soooooooo happy to hear you are feeling better. xxxxxxxxx
Jonesie, we are glad you are feeling better and are back in your garden. We think Ginger's belly is very distracting too! (but we like it a lot!)
Jonesie, I'm so glad you're feeling better girl. It's just not the same without you in the garden doing what you do best. Snoopervising! How wonderful that Alfie could come and visit you, too. I'm sure you gave him lots more tips to take back with him to England. He's a very good apprentice.
That Ginger is a funny girl. Don't be too upset with her -- it's just her gabby nature.
And your flowers are just gorgeous! You should be very proud -- and this is just the beginning!
We are very glad you are doing better, Jonesie, and that you can now get back to tending your garden. It's simply beautiful, by the way! :)
That is SO great that you're feeling better, Jonesie! You have a lovely garden and even though your sisfur is a distraction, we think she's a cute distraction.
We are all so happy you are better, Jonsie! The garden isn't the same without you in it...for many reasons. Your flirty sister Ginger looks like our KonaKitty.

We're VERY glad that you're feeling better Jonesie and can get back to work. But take it easy, OK? That's a beautiful magnolia! Momma has been wanting one of those. . .
Dat Rumble purr suggested I stop over, so I did. Here I've been missing your delightful blog all this time. So sorry to hear you have been ill, but good to hear you are getting better. Both of you are bootiful kitties.
Jonesie we are glad that you are feeling better! We know what a dedicated gardner cat you are so it must have been hard for you to be stuck inside. It was so nice of Alfie to visit you. We are still sending purrs for you to be 100% soon!
