Meow! It's been another wonderful week in the garden. I have to be grateful for the past week because for a week or so I will be locked in the house, forced to look at my beautiful garden through a window. I'll tell you more about that later. First, I have to get your attention back on important stuff...gardening!
Dad brought home a whole bunch of really interesting plants. Then he brought home some posts and some wire...I was really curious.
I helped mom and dad line them all up and measure out spacing. I'm concerned because they didn't finish the job...the plants are still just sitting in their pots where we placed them. Slackers!
What's going to happen to them if I'm out of commission for a whole week...or so?
Mom and dad call it a mini vineyard in progress! I'll be a granny cat by the time they make anything out of it.
So about me...I got hauled off to the emergency v-e-t on Wednesday night. I wanted to drink water, but I wouldn't do it. Then I'd lay down by my dish. Grete kept sniffing me and then pawing on mom. Mom and dad freaked. Then I got stuffed in a carrier. Turns out I have an ulcer on my tongue! It hurts to eat or drink. I was given fluids and a shot and I've been told I must stay inside until I'm all healed up. What's a garden cat without her garden? I also need to stay away from everyone else for awhile because they think it's because of a respiratory infection. Sigh. Please send purrs...my garden needs me! Do you think I can get a walkie talkie to snoopervise my dad from afar?

awwww we are sending lots of purrrs to you. Please get better soon! Your garden needs you.
OH no! We are purring for you and your tongue. That sounds like it hurts badly. Be well so that you can snoopervise those grapes (are they for eating or wine making?!)
I am purring hard for you Jonesie. Tongue ulcers are no fun, according to SS who gets them sometimes.
Jonesie, we are sorry about your tongue. We think your Mom should make you a series of signs to hold up to the window so you can snoopervise. Stuff like "Plant it there!" and "Water that plant!"
Feel better soon!
Goodness, Jonesie! You poor sweetie pie. Hopefully you will be able to eat and drink and start feeling much better very soon!
Do not worry about the garden too much. We think that even if your Mom and Dad can't handle it, Mother Nature can and will!
PS. Hi, Cory! xo♥

Oh Jonesie, I am so sorry you are feeling poorly and have an ulcer on your little tongue. Feel better soon!
Oh Jonesie! Poor you, ulcers on tongues are super horrible and hurt so much. Our Gerry knows about this and he sends you extra purrs so your tongue heals up nicely. If you don't start drinking, ask the vet for some pain meds, that makes drinking/eating easier.
We LOVE the picture of you sharpening your claws on the human leg!
Rumbly purrs and get well soon Jonesie!
Whicky Wuudler

Poor Jonesie! We're so sorry to hear about your sore mouth and being locked inside and separated from the others! But we want you to get better quickly and if that's the only way, we'll take it.
And good for Grete for looking out for you and warning your Mom. What a girl!
Poor Jonesie! Of course we are sending you our purring vibes times three to help you heal. It must be very miserable with an ulcer on your tongue.
So, try to be understanding while you're in the house for the week, because it's all for your own good. And I'm sure the garden will survive, but will need you even more once you're better. So, don't worry. The most important thing is your health, right now.
Get better very soon.
Oh Jonesie, that is so awful! We hope you recover very quickly. And Grete - you did an awesome job of looking after her.

Poor Jonesie. We hope your tongue is soon healed so you can get back in your garden and do what you enjoy most.
LMAO that first pic reminds me of when Curzon was a kitten and he either thought my leg was a scratching post or a climbing pole! He still will reach up and do the grab though, but never while I'm standing up and not with claws out! I guess I'm lucky!
You poor baby! I feel confident that you will be feeling better soon, but I know how much you hate to be kept from your garden! Wasn't there a neighborhood cat recently stopping by to help out a little (we have been out of town and off the blogs for awhile)? Well, feel better and we are sending good purrs to you and the others in your brood!
We are purring that you are well ASAP and back in your garden where you belong. Make the beans pamper you while you are recuperating. Might as well enjoy it we say.
The Mom got a different variety of strawberries from the neighbor across the street and some Johnny Jump Ups that she planted today and the electricity was off this morning so we are WAY behind on our blogging. ~AFSS
