Welcome back to my garden! I had such fun with Alfie Marshall last week. We are going to have our garden party sometime in July or August. Once we set a date we'll let everyone know. All kitties and woofies will be welcome. We'll have food, drinks, party games and music!
This past weekend we had a window of wonderful January weather. Dad decided to cut down the bamboo patch to harvest a lifetime supply of plant stakes. I had to make sure he did everything safely.
After it was all down I had to inspect everything to make sure we have all the sizes we need for the plants this summer.
We took a break between jobs. Part of the day we spent cutting down the bamboo and the rest of the day was spent moving and adjusting the raspberry patch. Dad carries me from job to job to make sure I don't get too tired. A full day of garden snoopervision can wear a girl out.
I approved of dad's placement of the boards around the new raspberry bed.
If you look closely you can see the plants are already starting to bud out a bit! I will purr really hard that we don't get more really cold weather. We don't want the raspberries to be goners.
I know that I put in a full day's work, but I wanted to remind you that I still have a sense of humor. All work and no play would make me a dull girl. Just wanted you to know that . Not only do I plant raspberries, I blow them in your general direction.
Don't forget to leave a link and let me know what's going on in your garden!

A garden party could be exciting! Perhaps I can even go explore the new square foot garden plot that the people will be putting in... well I don't know... it'll be far out there to catch the sun so perhaps not...
Yippee!! Party!!!
You're doing such a great job snoopervising in the garden.
Jonesie, I think you do an absolutely wonderful job with keeping up with the garden work! You are my outdoorsy hero!
Looking good, Jonesie!
Jonesie, I marvel at your gardening prowess. I also marvel at your cute heart-shaped tongue!!!

That last shot is priceless! Great pics!
Our garden is covered with snow....Sigh.
When we first starting looking at today's pictures, and reading the post... truth is, we were a bit disappointed.
Raspberries you say...
Well, in the end, you did NOT disappoint... you
shared a Real Raspberry with us.
Go Girl! Good Work! Purrfect!
Not sure spell check would approve, but here goes:

Wow Jonesie, that's a LOT of bamboos. Can't your dad build you a kitty summer house with some of that? In case you get hot and tired this summer and need a rest??
I blow them right back in your general direction!
HaHaHaHaHa!
Please come and visit me today and help me help Wayside Waifs!
We love your raspberry the best, Jonesie!!

You sure work hard in your garden...we don't have one so we will have to admire yours!
I'm, so jealous. Here I was thinking the weather is getting better to wake up to it snowing today....no gardens for me. But at least I can virtually enjoy yours
Jonesie, you are a superior snoopervisor, and we know your dad couldn't do the gardening without you. Great photos, especially the two close ups of you....the raspberries was the best!!!! MOL
xxxxxxxx
Thanks for visiting us - we loved visiting you - that long fur makes us greenwith envy and what a tongue. By the way, yes Darcy does 'chatter' when he spots birdies ....not Bing, yet.
Darcy and Bing xx
Your dad's lucky to have such a good helper :)
Wow, you are such a devoted gardner, Jonesie. We admire your dedication.
Jonesie, your garden is going to be great this year. How wonderful that the raspberries are all ready starting to bud out.
ps-we LOVE the picture of you blowing a raspberry at us!
Oh, Jonesie, I certainly do enjoy your posts! You are one of the busiest kitty girls efur! And so sweet and floofy, too. I can feel your gentle raspberry all the way over here.
It's great that you can still do some preparatory work even in the wintertime. We've just got too much snow (even though it's not as much as last year).
Thank your mom so much for changing her settings. It really was quite distressing not being able to properly visit each of our friends.
Wow Jonesie it sounds like you got a lot of work done with your dad! It is great that you are able to work on the garden already - hopefully you won't get any more extreme cold!
You look great riding on your Dad's shoulder, Jonesie!
We LOVE the raspberry photo!
And in answer to yoor question Jonesie, BOTH grasses have a special bouquet unique to their area AND your Oregan grass is slightly crunchy, whilst Sidmouth grass has a hint of salt (‘cos it grows near the sea!)
Love Alfie Marshall xx
PS: I am SO looking forward to the garden party!
That gardens looks like a lot of fun!
You are such a busy gardener Jonesie! We are always impressed with the work you put in. We are glad that your Dad carries you around...you must reserve some energy!
What a nice day in the garden, Jonesie. You did a good job snoopervising. It's just so exciting to think of all the things that will be green soon.
P.s. We can't wait to post about our garden :-) But the Humans say it won't be for a while. We can't even get to our garden because of all the snow and frost.
You are such a good gardener Jonesie. We laughed at your raspberry! We are looking forward to your garden party. We hope it won't be when we are locked up.
Maybe we should have a Tongue Thursday next week to celebrate the expressions of us cats!
Great pics, dear!
Such great gardening, and I am sure your Dad absolutely loved having you along on his shoulder, and helping him.
How funny! Whitey is blowing raspberries today, too, Jonesie!
Whimpurr gots a great big GRIN from your RASPBERRIES!!! :o)
