Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

Meow!  Welcome back to my garden.  I had such a great time in the yard last week I could hardly contain myself.  Dad was doing a bunch of work and I was thrilled to be able to snoopervise.  He wouldn't be able to do it all without me.   I meowed and I pawed the dirt and I ran up and down trees...

I got yard stuff stuck in my floofy bum...

When dad took a break, I washed up.  A garden cat shouldn't be afraid to get a little dirty, but you have to keep your machine clean.

When dad started taking the work too seriously, I reminded him that we need to play too.

Of course there was real work to be done too.  I helped dad transplant some blueberry and raspberry plants.   It was really hard work, so Grete decided to put her paws in the dirt to help us.  I'm really proud of her.  Dad wrote about all the things he did this past weekend here, but don't be fooled.  He couldn't have done it without me.

.
My seedlings are coming along too...you can see where I put my paw in the dirt to test the soil again.  Don't worry, I remembered to wash my paws before I came back in the house.

Don't forget to leave a link and let me know what's going on in your garden.

Lots of interesting things going on in your garden, Jonesie. You are a great helper and it's always important to remind your humans about play time.

hey, those seedlings are amazing - nothing is growing over at our place at the moment. The thing about fluffy legs is that they attract garden stuff! Love Darcy and Bingley xx

You're so lucky to get out in your garden and do things. Ours is still snowed in and frozen. We're feeding the birds and making a list for seeds to buy but that's about it. LOVE the floof photo!!

Fabulous job in the garden! We are so jealous here, since we won't see bare ground until March or April. And there won't be any planting until the latter part of May. *SOBS*

Wow! You certainly got a lot of work done in the garden.

Once the snow goes we hope to start working in our garden.

You sure did do a lot of good supervising!!! I wish we had a garden, but we just have a yard...with birds, squirrels, chipmunks, ducks, geese, turtles!!!

Jonesie your floof is magnificent! And your tree climbing skills are wonderful.

Our Mom planted our "green manure" crop of mustard a couple weeks ago, and now all the seeds are sprouting. In the Spring she will pull the mustard up and work it back into the soil. The decomposing mustard plant adds nutrients to the soil. Other than that, our sweet peas are coming up. We had a good inch of rain this past week, with much more on the way next week. We need the rain! xo, Raymond and Busby

You are such a great snoopervisor, Jonesie. And it was really sweet of Grete to help with the digging. We would love to have a garden, but live in an apartment complex and have no place for one (other than pot plants on the tiny patio).....so we are very thankful we can enjoy your garden with you......xxxxxxxxxxxxx

We need to trim our blueberry bushes. We wonders if raspberries would grow here. We shall have to ask our Daddy.

You are doing a great job Jonesie, we haven't been working in our garden in ages. ~AFSS

I'm proud of you, too, Jonesie because you are so very devoted. Your dad must really appreciate all your help, and Grete's, too!

Unfortunately, our garden is under several feet of snow, so there's really nothing to be done until we see the grass again.

Oh, Jonesie, you are a lucky kitty! The garden looks lovely, and so do you! In Norway, we´ve only had snow, snow and snow for several weeks. And it´s icy cold! So no gardening for us yet. Looking forward to summer!
