It's been an interesting week. I've done my best to spend quality time with my mom. The good fuzzy fleece she wears is starting to make an appearance so lap sitting has become more wonderful. Fall is in the air. The big news around here is what we did for mom's birthday. She totally didn't want any stuff. So we got her what she's been wanting for forever (
ok, not forever but a good long time). So here it is...below see a before picture of our hallway.

Not only are these way cool lights, they are solar tubes, so they are like little skylights. During the day we get natural light in a place that was totally dark AND they are lights at night. I'm kind of thrilled too because my momma Ellie and I spend a whole lot of time hanging out in the hallway, and now we get sun patches. In the center of the house! How cool is that!? I mean, I'm so glad mom is happy.

Those are wonderful!!!!!!! The PM wants one for the bathroom as we do not have a window in there. They are putting in a frosted french door first to see if it lets enough light in but I think we'll need a tube too.
Do you have another floor above that? The problem we are having is that it would have to go through a 2nd floor closet, then the roof.

Those solar tubes are waaaay cool!! Our mom would love to have them too. We'd love to have them for the great sunbeams!

Way cool, those lights! I'm like your Mommy -- I would rather have somebody do something for me that to get a present. I asked my son for fix things up for me on my computer for my birthday. It means a lot more.
You look very comfy on mommy's fuzzy lap, there, Cory! Yes, I guess cold weather has its advantages, too.
Very cool! Mom said that she's at the age where she doesn't want "things" for presents either ~ it is much nicer to have visits, or tasks done, or things yoo really need. We like presents though!

My mom has a chrcheted blanket that I love to snuggle in and on, and it has gotten cool neough for it to be taken out and used on the sofa. I think I like it the best when it is not folded up, but just tossed on there in a messy way - my "messy blankie".
