You have to be patient when you are a garden cat. We have waited all summer for the first of the tomatoes to ripen. They are finally turning red!
I picked a few so I can show you how beautiful they are.
Here I am, giving you a visual of their actual size. I'm using myself as a sort of floofy tape measure.
Picking the tomatoes wore me out, so I'm going to sit in one of my favorite spots, under the grapes. These are not wine grapes, they are table grapes. Mom would prefer it if she could make wine with them. I don't really care, I just like hanging out in the shade. There is a huge weed that I will demand be pulled. We do have one cabernet plant but it's all by itself in another part of the garden.
This brings us to one of my issues. I work so hard to grow wonderful food, and then what happens? Mom takes the perfectly wonderful crop inside the house and you know who gets hold of it.
No respect...
Please be sure to visit my gardening buddy, Alfie Marshall, to see what he's up to in the garden this week. I'm willing to bet a weeks worth of catnip that no one is stealing his tomatoes.....Cory...

We had our first tomato last week. It was quite good or so they said! We only got our first grape plant this year. We'll be adding another next year. I think they will both be table grapes as the Woman doesn't want to make her own wine yet...
That is a fine tomato harvest. We liked you as a floofy tape measure also.
I pampered a zucchini over the last months and wanted to show it to Siena as my master piece for Gardening Cat Graduation day this Saturday and MOM ATE IT! I have no idea how I will explain this...
Purrs, Chilli
Those are mighty nice tomatoes!
Oh I miss fresh grown tomatoes. You are very very lucky to have those!
Hi Jonesie,
Those Tomatoes look wonderful ~ I didn't grow any this year as I am noo to gardening. But maybe next year...
I'm loving all your nice gardening post headers by the way ~ they are gorjuss. Could you tell me how yoo gotted the lovely garden signature please? Then iffen I get promoted I will get a smart signature to celebrate!
My post is about a GLUT of herbs this week!
Love Alfie Marshall (Trainee Gardener)
Your tomatoes are looking good. Mum is still waiting for hers to ripen as we haven't had much sun.I keep guard in the greenhouse to keep the slugs away from them.

We agree that you should be allowed to share in the bounty of the garden. Jonesie!
Daddy learned a hard lesson this year. You cannot grow tomatoes near a walnut tree. Walnut trees have something that "runs off" and kills tomato plants.
It was sad...
Those tomatoes look very red against your gray furs, Jonesie!
We think Cory is just testing the ripeness of the tomatoes, right?
Mom never has lucky with tomatoes but yours are wonderful. We like the floofy tapemeasure pic! Did Cory whap that tomato?
Sniffie and the Florida Furkid
Jonesie, even though are some mighty fine tomatoes, you are still the most magnificent thing in the picture! Nothing can hold a candle to you. And I agree with you -- you do all the work and Cory just plays with it! What's up with that?
While I've been blogging, mum's had a bowl of grapes that I've been trying to pinch. Looks like I'm from the Cory school of gardening... MOL!:)

Those matoes look good enough to noms!
Wow those are great tomatoes - the one is so huge! And you can't hold it against Cory - at least with the tomatoes, because they look like cat toys! They are great for whapping around!
Sorry to hear you have a tomato thief in your house. But you do a good job in the garden.
You grew a very fine crop of tomaters!
Jonesie, my Mom has tomatoes and herbs. She doesn't let me pick the tomatoes, though, she's afraid I might drop them and then they'd burst. My grip isn't quite what it used to be.
You are a brilliant gardener.. Those tomatoes wow..
Good work..
Hugs GJ xx
It takes some green-thumb skill to grow good tomatoes. Our human mom just picked the first ones from her garden and she says they weren't bad.
Well all you can do is bring it to harvest, you can't control the players.
Yer tamaters look very nice! The Big Thing has offered us bits of one, but we think they smell funny. He sure loves them though.
Yay, the little round ones are fun ta play wif. TBT hasta keep them covered up on the kitchen counters or they end up in corners where they eventually start ta smell even WORSE!
