Cat-O-Lympics- Ellie Shows How It's Done in Competitive Napping

I'm going for the Gold in competitive napping!  Be sure to check out the other events at Fin's place.

I've been working hard for 4 long years to perfect my technique.  No one can nap like I can.

I'm leaving nothing in my tank.  When I'm finished with my nap, I'll know I've given it everything I've got.

I may be too sleepy to make it to the podium.

Just put the medal in my velvet paws.

Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie- Society of Feline Gardeners

Meow!  Welcome back to my garden!

I'm getting excited because even though the silly groundhog said there would be 6 more weeks of winter, it feels just a little bit like spring around here.  We've had some rain, but we've had a few days of sunshine too.  Last weekend it seemed like all the neighborhood cats were frolicking in our yard for a visit.  They are buzzing about the garden party I'm going to host with Alfie this summer.

I had to go check the seedlings that are growing in the greenhouse.  They are not growing very fast, but they are still growing!

I think they'd grow better if we had a heater, but mom doesn't think we need one.  Maybe next year I can convince her to get one.

The chives are coming up nice and strong.  I decided to eat the grass instead.  Chives are a little too strong for my taste.

Time to check out the shed!  You can never have too many tools.

The snow drops are up too!  A sure sign of spring.   Purrrrr....

I can't forget it's time to order seeds!  Even after a long day in the garden a garden cat's work in not done.  I will study hard for the right seeds and put a paw print on the pages so mom will know what to order.  There are so many choices she'd get confused if I didn't help.

Please leave a link and let me know what's going on in your garden this week!

Happy Gotcha Day Nigel!!!

Hi there!  Welcome to my Gotcha Day celebration.  I've been singing and dancing all week in preparation for the big day so I thought I'd like to have a sing along.  Cats can meow along, dogs can woof and humans can sing if they know the tune.

Meow along with me (to the tune of King of the Road)
Dog house for sale or rent
Warm beds to let fifty cents
No phone no pool no pets
I ain’t got a nip cigarette
Ah but, 2 hours of hunting squirrel
Buys a 8x12 inch free shelter
I’m a mancat of means by no means
King of the yard

Third boxcar midnight train
Destination Portland OR (not Maine!)
Old worn out collar and paws
I don’t follow no stink’in laws
I smoke old nip stogies I have found
Short but not too big around
I'm a mancat of means by no means
King of the yard.

I know every food bowl in every yard
All of the stray cats and all of their names
And every handout on every porch
And every dish that ain’t licked when no one’s around

I sing dog house for sale or rent….

Thank you for coming by to celebrate my big day with me!  A year ago this very day on a snowy morning, mom put some Fancy Feast in a trap.  I walked in, the door slammed and I immediately freaked out.  Little did I know that life was about to get good.  VERY GOOD!    Now I can't imagine being outside in the yard. In a whole year I haven't even walked near a door.  I look out windows sometimes, but I like what I see on the inside much better.  I'm still working on wooing Miss Ellie.  She gave me a lick on the head the other night so there is hope.

When I was first hanging out and trapped, I was called Bojangles.   My Cat Blogosphere furriends helped mom pick out my new name.  I still love it.

It's good to be king.  Of the house.

Pee Ess:  Thank you so much to Ann at Zoolatry for making these wonderful graphics to celebrate my big day.
