::Meowwww::
Welcome back to my garden. I hope all of you forgive me since I've not been posting in such a long time. I am getting older now and I won't go out in the garden until it is sufficiently warm during the day.
Luckily it's been super nice weather and I've resumed a fairly full workload.
I have a surprise to show you! Mom and dad would never dare to put tender tomatoes and basil in the ground before Memorial Day weekend. I learned how to get them their treats food earlier...so as you can see we have a nifty new tent to keep them warm. I helped Dad build it.
You can see below what it looks like when it's opened up during the day. Ignore that showoff Cecilia. She thinks exposing her belly is more important than tending the garden.
Dad built this for very cheap. The plastic pipe cost less than a dollar each. We already had wood scraps and twine. The only thing left to buy was a roll of plastic.
So when a smart Mom & Dad and a smart cat like me put our minds together, magic can happen in the garden!
The only rule we have to follow is to close up our little tent when the temperature drops below 50 degrees. Mom is hoping we can do this in the fall to extend our growing season.
Purrs!

Jonesie, you are SUCH a smart garden cat!
How very clever. Jonesie, that was a brilliant idea.
We have missed the garden show with you, Miss J. It's good to see you back.
I bet that was fun to snoopervise as it went in! And you could come here--it's already plenty warm for planting!
What a pawsome idea, Jonesie! We just hope the plants don't grow too tall!
So nice to see you, Jonesie, and you clearly have been very busy!

Hi Jonesie!
That's a great way to keep your tender plants warm at night. It looks really good! Our mom raised tomatoes on the windowsill at her offive and is bringig them home tomorrow. We hope no cold spell is ahead.
Please give our Birthdaypurrs to Madison. And many kitty kisses! (We didn't comment on his post today because it has exactly 19 comments. How fitting!)
Love,
Sien & Chilli
That tent is a great idea to get the plants off to an early start Jonesie.
