Hi there furriends!
Some of you already know that I've been sick. I've been in a room all by myself so mom and dad can monitor everything about me. What goes in...what comes out. I feel like a science experiment.
There is good news and bad news. The bad news is that what comes out of me is way too squirty. Sorry for TMI, but hey, we're furriends here and I'm not holding back on you.
The other potentially bad news is that I either have the worst case ever of Irritable Bowel Syndrome or I might have intestinal lymphoma. Mom doesn't want to put me through a biopsy if she can prevent that. So right now I'm on medication and I'm trying new foods.
They hypoallergenic stuff didn't work so now I'm on a high fiber, low fat food which seems to be helping. I also got a shot of B12. So I'm not as squirty as I once was. Again, sorry for the TMI. You're my furriends, right? That's part of the good news.
The other good news is that I had lost weight, but I'm now gaining it back. I was up to a whole 7 pounds on Sunday morning!
I'm kind of liking not having to deal with the others, but it does get lonesome sometimes. Mom and dad visit me as much as they can.

The weight gain is good; we're glad to hear that. Hopefully the squirty stuff goes away very soon (and don't worry about sharing that, who hasn't been there?)
Sweet Bennette, we had no idea you've been dick. We're purring you'll be back to normal soon.
Aww, Bennette...lots of purrs and purrayers from us. The weight gain is great, keep that up. We sure hope the change in food and the B12 helps. Does your mom knows that slippery elm is really good for intestinal upset? Very commonly given to IBD cats -- you can make it up into a syrup that can keep in the fridge and syringe it in before meals, or even just sprinkle a very little bit of the powder on food.
(((Hugs)))
Purrs and prayer from all of us. We sure hope things get better really soon.
Bennette we are purring very hard for you to get well.
We purr your folks and the Vet will

Oh Bennette! We are so sorry to hear that you are still squirty and not doing as well as we'd like to hear. We are glad that you are gaining back your weight--that is REALLY good! And we hope that you get everything firmed up so you can feel really good.
Bennette we are sorry you are under the weather. We will purr for you to continue to gain weight and we'll be firm. MOL
Poor Bennette, I hope you have a complete recovery soon. Have your folks given you any probiotics to build up the good bacteria in your bowel? That may help.
Bennette, you know you can sort that dire eat out by yourself, right? Please do so in order to stay away from those ebil vet peoples.
I am sorry you are not feeling well Bennette. I have bad squirts too, but mum thinks it is another bad effect from that convenia injection. I have fortiflora sprinkled on my food to try and help.
I am purring for you to soon feel better.
Seems like gaining weight is a good sign. We send our love and purrs to help you feel much better soon - and yes we're friends of course.
Bennette, it sounds like the new food may be helping...which is great! You keep eating it, okay. And we're good with the TMI. Yep, that's what furiends are for. :)
Our purrs, Bennette...
Bennette, we'll keep on purring and praying for you, sweet friend.
there are a lot of cats who improve dramatically from IBD with the opposite diet of what you are doing. Low fiber high protein higher fat tends to be easier to digest and thus is less irritating to an upset colon.

We're sending lots of purrs for you to feel better soon.
Sending lots of purr and prayers that you make a complete recovery and very soon. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
