::Meowwww::
Welcome back to my garden. It's been a bit soggy this past week, so this casual garden stroll happened before the rains started. This is how I look when I patrol. Most of you know I have a large garden. It's an acre! A girl's paws can get tired covering all of it.
I flop and take a nap whenever I feel like it. I've earned it!
Did you know that I did a really good deed? Let me tell you about it. We have cut back on how many veggies we plant because mom and dad can't possibly eat it all. We freeze some...dry some, but it ends up being too much. So...I got an idea...and I meowed it to my mom.
Based on my meows, mom located a food bank very close to home. On the day she found it, dad and I harvested 5 pounds of tomatoes. I helped dad bag it up and he went and dropped it off! How cool is that? Mom said that next year we will plan on this so I can grow WHATEVER I WANT! Any extra can be given to the food bank. I can feed my community.
Oh that makes a garden kitty feel pawsome!
They even told me and dad the kinds of things that are popular like zucchini and carrots and things....purrrr. My mom won't let me grow zucchini because it goes crazy...but now if it goes crazy we have people who need it and want it.
purrrrr
I'm already starting to plan for next year.

That is a pawsome idea!
That is a great idea, Jonesie! I'm so glad you thought of it.
That was an amazingly excellent idea! Food banks probably don't get a lot of really fresh produce. I think those people should all be thanking you!
That's a pawesome idea! We're sure the food bank will be thrilled for the extra produce.
What a great way to use the extra foods you grow, Jonesie! Do they take any extra catnip you might grow? (Like there'd be extra, right?!?)
What a great idea. Mommy took the extra blueberries to a "soup kitchen" one year. Mommy said the man running the place was so happy because they seldom had fruit. He was able to make blueberry pancakes for breakfast and then have blueberry cobbles for supper.
Sadly this year Mommy was unable to contact the man, she had wanted to take him some more blueberries. Mommy thinks the city (hiss) closed the soup kitchen down. She drove past where it used to be.
That is such a great story. Well done, Jonesie!

Jonesie we are so glad that your pawrents have been able to help others with their wonderful gift. We understand that fresh produce is one thing that these places all need. We know there is always some kind of legal mumbo jumbo so we hope you can continue to contribute!
That is wonderful Jonesie!!!!! We know Meowm has brought home some stuff from co-workers gardens!
What an awesome plan! I will keep that in mind next time I have excessive produce.
