::Meowwww::
Hi there everyone! If you read the blog yesterday, you'll know that my trusted furriend and sister woofie Grete went tree hunting for us. She has been doing this since she came to live with us in 2008, so she's getting quite good at it. Once Grete got home with the tree she gave it to me.
I've learned from careful practice that when a tree gets cut down, it's very thirsty. The first thing I do after introducing myself to the tree is to make sure it gets a long drink of water outside. Once it's in the water bucket I can do a thorough inspection.
I also checked out some of the lights daddy hung outside. They make our dark cold evenings a little bit brighter.
Mom and dad have been slackers so the only thing on the tree right now are the lights. We hope to whap on mom and dad to get the ornaments hung so we can whap admire them. At least the tree is safe inside our house. Mom is a little nervous because the tree skirt is not staying under the tree...if you know what I mean. We have no idea who is doing it...maybe little elves are sneaking in at night...

Jonesie, great job of prepping the tree once it got home! I hope Ellie keeps a watch out for that rogue elf that is causing trouble.
Putting up a tree requires a lot of teamwork. Fortunately, you are very good at that!!
The Florida Furkids
That is a very nice looking tree. Grete did a good job.
Maybe your mom will have to put some of those "rug grippers" under the tree skirt. Those "elves" can be mischievous.
Oh my! They really are slacking. I am glad you are getting on them! Otherwise, where would they put all your Christmas presents?
It sounds like you have a mighty fine Tree Team effort going on!
And tree skirts are totally for naps and being comfy. :)
As we said to Grete yesterday, we love the teamwork in your family! #1 and Tommy are off to choose our tree today!
Purrs,

It's probably the same guy that is messing up our tree skirt every day. The mom is getting real tired of fixing it all the time.
We're paying close attention to your tree instructions, Jonesie, in case we ever get a real one in our house!
We are sure it is the elves messing with the tree skirt.
You are so lucky we don't even have a tree and probably won't this year. On the other hand we do have something else. Fenris will be telling all about it Friday.
Gotta see if we can at least get Mom to finish decorating the dining room/kitchen for the Holidays. ~Scylla & Socks
We don't have a real tree. Mum is afraid we will think we are outdoors, and outdoor trees have to be peed on. Grete made a good choice with your tree.
What a lovely tree! I'm sure your pawrents will have it decorated beautifully with so much help :)
Lovely!
You're doing a great job snoopervising that tree. We love your header.
Yes, ya gotta watch those silly elves!
Grete did a great job selecting your Christmas tree! But it seems, Jonesie, that you're going to have to work a little harder to get the parents in line. When it comes to Christmas there should be zero PURRocrastination!
By the way, Cory's on the LOLSpot again.
Yes, it has to be little elves!!!
Oh Jonesie, is some cat going to climb the tree?
Glogirly has tree-envy. She said that Waffles Too is too wild and she doesn't think she can handle a tree this year. He's pure maniac.
; ) Katie
Well, Grete is a woofie so I hate to say this....but she did an excellent tree-choosing job! It's beeyootiful. Your Humans have done MUCH better than mine--we don't got NUFFING aorund here yet--The Human says MAYBEEEEE this weekend. Hmmm.
