::Meowwww::
You may wonder what I'm doing here...on my cat tree...lounging the afternoon away. You see...it's been bucketing down rain this week. I've given mom and dad instructions on raking up soggy leaves...not skilled work at all. I can trust them to do that while I snooze.
You can see why I don't want my furry white paws out in this mess.
Even though I'm stuck inside, I can still practice garden skills...no idle paws here!
What I do to keep myself in tip top garden shape...is to find a brown soft blankie. I make lots of biscuits...this keeps my paws strong. Having the blanket be the color of dirt simulates my garden.
It makes me purrr....zzzzzzzzz.

It was pretty wet and windy here today too. In fact, the Valley is at stage two flood watch!
Jonesie, no matter the weather, you manage to keep busy!
I don't blame you a bit for staying indoors! You're a kitty after all, not a duck!
I am sure that your Mom and Dad can take care of the soggy leaves. Good job on keeping in shape for your gardening. Not even I would want to go out in that and I always want to go out.

We had a feeling you must do some off season training like that in order to stay in such good shape to be a Master Gardener.
That was exactly what our catio looked like after heavy rain and winds recently! Mommy had locked us there so we were screaming and climbing up the grills to get in. And what did Mommy do after letting us in? She LAUGHED! That evil woman.
We hope your Mom and Dad managed the soggy leaves on their own. :)
We don't blame you not wanting to go out in the wet Jonesie. It's been raining a lot here too and the garden has really suffered.
The Paw Relations
The trick with the blanket is pawsome! We bet you have very strong gardening paws.
We agree, it is much too wet to go out in the garden. That is a good idea to use the blankie to keep your paws strong for when you are able to get back to your gardening.
So making biscuits on a blankie keeps you in shape, Jonesie? We must really be in great shape then!! We hope it stops raining at your house.
Sorry it is raining there. It is sunny here so come on over for a stroll in our garden.
Jonesie, it is so clever and constructive of you to keep your paws strong in this way!
It's a really nasty day here with rain and wind, and we are staying warm and cuddling.
Purrs,

It is a very good decision to rest up when you can. We think being a top gardener is probably like being a top athlete, where you need to take good care of your body so that you can keep performing at a very high level. And also muddy toehawks are not fun.
I'm not sure I would trust the beans to take care of the wet leaves. We don't necessarily like being in the rain, either!
Good job keeping your paws in shape! Nothing like a fuzzy blankie for exercise :)
Its good that you have something to do inside that helps your garden.
Dry, warm and happy are very wise choices!
Jonesie and family, have a good weekend!!!!!
Stay warm and dry inside!!! We think your biscuits are adorable :-)
Btw, how is Nigel?
Your delegation skills are nothing short of AMAZING!

I would totally categate to the peeps to make sure your garden is clean from soggy leaves when you are ready to go back out to cultivate. I can see how strong your paws are, you will be in good shape for your garden care when it is dry. Also very impawtant to keep white toesies white. Just sayin'...paw pats, Savannah peeEss I posted about my garden to day as I knew it was the Society of Feline Gardeners Day with you Jonesie
Good job Jonsie. We sent Virginger on an adventure with moovies.
Are you sure your humans will do as good a job as you?
Purrs
