::purrr::
I know, here I am...Master Gardencat, asleep on my daddy's lap. It really is the best place to be when the weather is a soggy mess. I may look like I'm slackin' but this gardencat had been super busy! Yes, gardencats don't even have to go outside to get a lot done.
While it's been raining so much we don't even want to spend time on the deck, I've been thinking about how I could combine my garden talents and help out United Paws, the wonderful people who saved Ellie and Cory from homelessness ::shudder:: or worse!
Then I found out that Raymond and Busby's momma got a job at Renee's Garden. Turns out they have lots of cool seeds and because I wanted to indirectly keep Raymond and Busby in catnip and kitty litter, I decided I'd order my seeds through them this year. But wait...what does this have to do with United Paws (I know my smart furriends want to know the answer)?
Turns out that Renee's Garden is such a cool company that they have a fundraising program. Since my mom is a volunteer for United Paws (she helps manage their Facebook page), she signed them up. So if you go to Renee's Garden website and order seeds, at the check out you'll be asked for a coupon code. If you type in:
FR227A
United Paws will receive 25% of the total order value! That is so totally awesome that I'm going to make my mom order me lots of seeds. I sure hope some of you kitties do the same because that would mean extra dollars to a great organization that provides much needed spay/neuter, foster care and feral cat colony support in a county without a cat shelter.
So you can see that once my mom and dad ::cough:: finish cleaning out the beds, we'll have lots of room to plant our new seeds. I'm going to sit by the fire and figure out my final order.
Please leave a link and let me know if you are able to get out in your gardens this week!

Hello Cory,
What a Great idea, we'v been so busy clean up after snow & with more tomorrow, we haven't even thought about planting yet. But we'll keep this in mind,,,, You look so cozy lying by the fire planning you Garden. Where's Jonesie???
Have fun planning your Garden ~
Headbutts all around ~
PAWSOME! First of all, we so appreciate you getting your seeds from Renee's. Mom has only worked there three days, but she is getting the feeling that it is a great company to work for. Seems they do a lot of good things not just in our community but internationally as well. Plus the seeds are GREAT. We are so excited about planting some this Spring. In fact, they have a sunflower seed variety called SUNZILLA! Must be Sunflowerzilla's cousin. See you in the garden! xoxo
That's a great idea! Too bad we live so far away.
That fire sure looks inviting. I'd be staying right by it too, if I had your weather.
Well this is very cool to know! Can you make sure there's a tag on your sidebar so that when the Woman goes looking she can easily find this post!
Wow, that is so cool of Renee's Garden!!
What an amazing idea! I wish my human did gardening - we certainly have enough land - but she does not (and the plants around here are grateful for that).
Great Idea ! and I will make sure my mom stay tune with your nip... because I don't want she to be failed to grow it anymore : )..She need the lesson to spoil me : )

Hi Jonesie,
How fabulous that yoo can buy yoor seeds and help feral cats, all in one go. That's gotta be worth doing. An' at the same time, yoo're helping Raymond and Busby stay well stocked in Cat-Lit ~ it's a win-win situation!
That rug by the fire looks very cosy ~ I fink I'll pop over and we talk seeds. Is it OK if I stay for lunch please?
Love Alfie xx
Cory I love your gardening posts. You are so good to have a green paw. And to work it so you give to charity too. Great!
That is such a cool thing to do, Jonesie.
What a great idea, Jonesie!! We hope lots of monies are raised for United Paws this way!! We don't usually order seeds...and since our dad is in the garden business, we usually get our garden stuff from him.
And Jonesie, those planting beds do look pretty messy....
That is so cool!
Things aren't looking too promising on the garden front here. We aren't allowed outside as it's not enclosed for us (we have big dogs next door on three sides and have to keep Lishy out of the sun), and mum and dad aren't allowed to build an enclosure in this rental. Mum has told us she is going to set us up an indoor garden. We're not holding out much hope.
We need you here, Jonesie!!
P.S. Can you bring Ginger with you? -Fui
That is all really incredible. I will be sure to alert my Dad to Renee's Garden and the code as well. A terrific way to help out TWICE!
That's so pawsome! We're going to have Mom check out their site!!

We has been outside some. Still have stuff blooming and growing. That is so neat about the seeds. If we buys anymore we will get them there. We already got our zinnia seeds at the grocery store
Boo to bad wet weather. We haven't been able to get out into the garden at all this month!
Dat's a super idea. We're still in the middle of winter here, so it's hard to even dream about gardening.
what a great seed fest we wil have. We haven't been outside that much though Mrs H is determined to get some shots of us with our stick. We LOVE out stick.
Love Darcy, Bingley and Helen
That sounds like a wonderful programme, Jonesie!
And we agree that a beloved lap really is the best place to be this of year...

I love your gardening posts. Cory, you are so good to have a green paw and to work for it so you could give to charity too. You're a good cat!

That is a great idea, it means everyone wins.
Hi Cory! What a great idea about getting your seeds from Renee's. We will check that out for sure! Stay warm, and have a great weekend.
We already ordered our seeds for this year, what what a great idea to keep Renees Garden in mind because of their support for United Paws!
Ooooh! Can I join you by the fire? That looks very warm and inviting.
What a SUPER idea! We're bookmarking the site for future seed ordering. Gabriel is going to take over our Gardening duties and he hasn't quite decided on seeds yet.....he's kinda nervous. Stay warm and dry!
Wow, this is all so wonderful!!! Renee's Garden sounds like a wonderful place!
