::purrr::
Hi there garden pals! Jonesie gave me the go ahead to say the super secret password and get this meeting started.
We finally got several days in a row of dry weather, so I've been pawing around and checking stuff out. The garden cart is on it's side for the winter so we can't climb in it and play haul stuff around.
Our next door neighbor, Remington, pals around with me a lot. He is responsible for the garden next door. We swap advice and stuff.
Jonesie has advised me that part of being a garden cat is posing handsomely in front of work that still needs to be done. Can you believe that mom and dad still have not pulled up these dead corn stalks? Mom thinks they are cool for photo ops, but I think she's just being lazy.
The grape arbor was trimmed up in preparation for spring.
Do you ever get the feeling you are being watched?
The garden bed that last week was such a mess has now been mostly cleaned out. This is the hardest job a gardencat must perform...making sure your humans are doing their fair share of the work.
So where you may ask is Jonesie this week? She is still enjoying her vacation from gardening. She is sleeping and growing her neck floof back. Mom and dad are still fighting the fleas but for the most part they are winning the battle and Jonesie is healing up. Thing is...I think she likes knowing that she no longer has to do it all, so she's soaking up lap time waiting for it warm up and dry out.

Well, we have all kinna plants what need ta be pulled up, but The Big Thing says some of them got seeds fer birds and some just have to wait for the ground to thaw out in March.
And some stuff just has to stay around until late Winter to be trimmed (like the butterfly bushes). But we are sure waitin fer Planting Time!
You have no idea how Wunderful it is to see Your Green Garden,,,, we can't find ourz anymore.....
Seemz like you haz your humanz trained pretty well ....mol
Thingz are startin to look pretty tidy there.
Enjoy being Outside ^~^
Figaro, you are a great stand in! Jonesie can be proud of you.
We've mentioned this before, but your ruff is incredibly HUGE we gotta say it again...that thing is outta control!
Your garden is in better shape than ours. We all ready have a gopher! We also need to build one or two more beds this year. We're planning to take out a big, rangy Mexican Sage that is taking over a prime spot and replacing it with a raised bed. So much to do!
When our Moms lived in San Francisco they had to treat the carpet for fleas. They used a boric acid based powder. It was very effective and safer than any kind of flea bomb. You spread it on the carpet, brush it in with a stiff broom and then vacuum it out after a certain length of time. Might be worth looking into.
I am glad that Jonesie is healing up. I think it's very nice how wonderful your garden is looking!
I am glad that Jonesie is doing better. You are doing a great job of supervising the garden while she is on vaction, Figaro. And actually, I had to admit this, but I think your human is right about the dead corn stalks being good for photo ops. That does not mean, however, that is not also lazy!
Remington is a mighty fine lookin' kitty, but I know that Jonsie is the real garden kitty.
what a beautiful garden kitty you are!
very sweet pictures : )
::purrs;;
Figaro, I am sure Jonesie appreciates the help and break you are giving her. You have great climate for your humans to be able to do any outside work during the winter. Here everything shuts down once the leaves are raked, until Spring. Dad has to satisfy himself watering inside plants.
Figaro !!!!!!
You know this is the best part for me !
I just love the human clean out the garden bed.
And those soil will so soft for the paws, Then I will be ready to do my part in the garden : )
Poop ! Poop ! Poop !...hee..hee...hee

Hi Figaro!
Can yoo please be sure to pass my healing purrs on to Jonesie and tell her I missed seeing her in the garden today. However, I am please she is warm and snuggly and getting lap time.
I love it that Jonesie said that part of being a garden cat is posing handsomely in front of work that still needs to be done! That gives me a whole lot of photo opportunities for next week! MOL! An' I thort I wouldn't have much to do wiv it still being wintry here!
Love Alfie xx
and special smoochies for Jonesie.
Hi Fig,
First, we want to say that you're a great Gardening cat and maybe us guys can Garden together. Secondly, we're ALL sending healing purrs to Jonesie to get better and get back out in the action. And third, Alice says....
Oh, never mind. She's too shy.
Alice: **BLUSH!**
Our garden is still covered in snows but we're going to get the seed catalogs out this weekend and order some seeds! Have a great week.
Gabriel
Figaro, when did all that floof come in?! You're doing Jonesie proud in that regard, too! :)
We love the picture of you wriggling up the arbor. You look like you should be hosting your own adventure gardening show :)
Soft smooches for Jonesie's neck furs.
Hi Figaro! Thanks for taking us around your garden. And Fig, we never knew you were so floofy!!
Glad to hear Jonesie is doing better too!!
You're such a handsome gardener, Figaro! We know if we had a garden, the girls here would want you to help tend it!
Figaro, you're really doing well as a gardening cat -- we're sure Jonesie must be proud of you!
We're truly jealous of your bare ground and green grass!
Figaro - you are doing a good job of supervising. We an't see our garden cuz it's stull buried in snow.
You makes a furry great garden kitty; and you look soo cute!
Rudy
Figaro, you are growing quite the gorgeous amount of floof. We can't stop looking at your pictures!
i wishes it was this weather by us! you should sees what we gots. (Cory, Audrey does not sing while she moves teh socks all around teh house, MOL. in fact, Audrey usually hardly makes any noise at all, except for when she plays, then she goes "PURROW!!!" realleh loud. i is teh singer of teh fambly. oh and she does not just love sockies. she loves anyfing for feets. sockies, slippies, sneakies... she rolls around happily while holding a shoe wif all 4 feets and rubbing her face all over it.)
Figaro it was nice of you to take over the gardening duties so Jonsie could rest up! The garden clean up has gone very well, you are ready for spring :-)
Figaro,
You are doing a good job helping Jonesie. Remington is a handsome mancat, we are glad you get tips from each other on gardening.
Have fun out there! Say hi to Jonesie for us!
Great job you are doing there Figaro. You have floofed up quite a lot too.
No gardening post for me this week because I have not been well and am indoors. SS did manage to kind of clear the weeds but not much else. The weather is stinking hot. Close to 100F everyday.
You are doing a very good job in the garden Figaro. Ours is a mess!
Hi Again Eferybody,,
We jus popped in to let you all know,, since we really likez hangin wit you guyz we haz somethin for you ^~^ if you would likez to stop by and pickz it up.
Purrrz ~
Oh Figgy... I think we have a REAL problem brewing here. Mom is totally smitten with you (I think the winter floof pushed her over the edge).
You should hear how she goes on about you. It's embarrassing.
Please plant some raspberries. I love those and we can't get them here.
Thanks for purring for Au. He ate three bites of chicken so I'm hoping he'll get better soon.
Your garden is wonderful. We sure miss ours.
Thanks for your help with Georgie. It worked!
We see that gardening is a family affair there and it's good to be 'cross-trained' in snoopervising and share the responsibilities of keeping your humans in line. Our Teri just hopes that all the things she planted last fall survive and come to life this spring...right now they are buried in snow...
Wow we can't believe how late we are getting around. Couldn't get Mommy in our Garden last week, but this coming Thursday we are back in our Garden. We know Jonesie loves having you around to help Figaro. Gardening is a tough job and many paws make lite work.
Your garden looks WONDERFUL!!! The PM snowshoed over ours a couple of weeks ago to get a cercopia cocoon for a naturalist friend of hers as we found 9 cocoons in the back garden.
She said it was not fun to be standing about three feet over the strawberries.
