::purrrr::
Welcome back to my garden. I can't actively manage my garden or snoopervise my dad because I've had some issues. I can only look out the window. Turns out that this year has been horrible for fleas...or as one of my furriends put it, a very good year for fleas and a bad year for kitties like me who are severely allergic to their bites. All it takes is one of those little beasts and I chew and scratch myself raw.
I went to the v-e-t and they gave me a shot of antibiotics and I'm back on my prednisone pills. They also shaved my furs off so I have a very "interesting" fur-do. My mom and dad won't let me go outside, even if I have Garden Society business to tend.
Mom and dad are going to have to be aggressive in fighting the little flea monsters to protect me. I'm sweet. I must taste good to them.
I had to give dad specific instructions for gardening this weekend. He had to go and find all of the vegetables that are still clinging on for dear life out there. He did a good job and found the remaining green bell peppers.
Figaro's momma was out in the garden enjoying our late harvest nip. She said she'd be willing to help out since I can't be outside. She's a member of the Society of Feline Gardeners as well, but she doesn't blog.
She helped mom find 9 wee little raspberries. She butted mom's hand with her head and told mom to bring the berries directly to me. Mom obeyed.
Thanks mom! You can take the cat out of the garden, but you can't take the garden out of the cat!
Please leave a link. It will make me purr if my furriends are able to get in their gardens this week.

Jonsie, you poor baby, what with you furcut and fleas.
Come to the desert where it's flea-free and supervise The Baby!
At least you have an on-site sous-gardener.
Jonesie, that is a very interesting fur 'do you have. You must be like sugar to those fleas! Good job supervising from the window. Your green peppers look delish!
I am glad that you had such good feet on the ground so to speak if you yourself couldn't be there.
Poor Jonesie, my purrs are coming your way to combat the fleas. No fun being shut inside, is there?
Your garden is so much more productive than mine, even though mine is probably more colourful right now.
Too bad you had to supervise your garden from afar, Jonesie, but at least it looks like things got done!
::purrrr::

we are so sorry to learn about the fleas - and your dear little shaven neck, thank goodness fur grows back. Love Darcy and Bingley xx
Poor Jonesie, having fleas is No Fun.
Jonesie we are so sorry you got bit by a nasty flea (shuddering). Our Daddy had to spray the yard for fleas one year when they were bad here. We think this is what he used. http://www.flowerdepotstore.com/bahopecoinin.html
Jonesie, we're so sorry those fleas are bothering you! We hope you get some relief soon! And it looks like you got some real good help for your garden. Figaro's mom did a good job there!
I'm sorry you were not able to get into the garden today, but you did a good job snoopervising. I think your haircut looks cute.
We hope those nasty flea critters leave you alone, Jonesie! You're still very beautiful, even with your new do.
Figaro's beautiful Mom is very sweet to help out while you're on lockdown!
Poor Jonesie! We are so sorry about the itchies. Those are nasty little creatures! We hope the meds make you all better very soon, and are glad you still get to supervise!
Purrs,
The Chans
We took in our last veggies a few weeks back. Nothing left outside now!
Jonesie, we're so sorry you're having these skin problems. Ugh. We hope you're not too cold now, with your partially shaved fur!
We ARE impressed you still had veggies to harvest and even raspberries.
Lots of purrs and Light that you feel better soon!
Sorry to hear about your flea problems...hope your meds help you to not be so itchy!
Your garden still looks great. We finally pulled our veggie plants up the other week.
Oh Jonesie, we are so very sorry you can't be in your garden for awhile. Those nasty fleas!!!! We hope your Mom and Dad are able to get rid of all of them!
Poor Jonesie! I hardly recognized you in the first couple of photos. Your beautiful ruff is all shaved, but it won't be too long before it grows back in. That's one good thing about fur (and hair).
Figaro's mama is certainly very helpful in your absence, but I'm sure you trained her well.
It's amazing that you still had such gorgeous looking peppers and raspberries growing at this time of year.
I hope you feel better soon, sweetie.
you can come here Jonesie, we're flea free, and the garden needs your help!
Poor angel! Have you tried Frontline to keep those critters off? Come and visit us. We have no fleas...
Jonesie, we are sure glad the fleas dont seem ta like our yard at all. We hope yours all move away over the Winter!
TBT LOVED the pictures of the raspberries...
Jonsie, I think your furrdresser must be an apprenticeship !
Little lady, we're so sorry that you're having flea troubles. They are such horrible creatures, aren't they. We are happy to hear that Figaro's mama is helping you out.
Gosh Jonesie, we are so sorry about your flea allergy ... that makes us so sad for you, especially since you can only snoopervise your garden. We hope your Mom and Dad can find a good solution for you, and we agree, you are sweet, but the darn fleas need to stay away from you!
Purrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam and Simon
That was great post on Kittens Thanks for sharing with us.
Jonesie, so sorry to hear about the fleas and furcut you had to get. We hope you are feeling better now!
Gretchen (formerly known ask Necklace) got them name Necklace because when she was first trapped for spay last year, her neck had an awful raw place on it. The vet actually thought she got burned. She still has a bald spot. We've discovered it is some kind of allergy, possibly flea. She still scratches from time to time.
