Hey mom! Guess what? Thursday is BlogBlast for Peace so that means I can't do Thursday in the Garden with me! When will I be able to hold my Society of Feline Gardeners meeting?
Oh all right...I suppose it can wait until Friday. Furry friends, we will postpone our garden society meeting until Friday, ok?
So as long as I have your attention, I wanted everyone to know that I waited up for the Great Pumpkin last night. I thought it would work just fine waiting in our squash patch. They are almost exactly like pumpkins, only they're not.
Grete was kind enough to wait with me. She only laughed just a little when he didn't show up.
Maybe next year.

Maybe you need a bigger pumpkin patch?
Hi Grete!
Thanks fur the grins and giggles!

I figured that the Big Pumpkin might have been kidnapped. The prices for pumpkins shot through the roof the week leading up to Halloween. $25 for a medium sized pumpkin!!!!!
Gee, and we thought your squash patch was very sincere too. Oh well, maybe next year!
xoxo
Jonesie, you human needs to plant real pumpkins! Squash does not cut it. I know because my human eats pumpkin and not squash. Maybe the Great Squash showed up when you weren't looking.
Jonesie, the first photo is so impress ! I've done that too !!!!
Hope you had a Happy Halloween!
Good idea Jonesie, this week I will do my gardening post on Friday too ~ so I can join yoo in the BlogBlast for peace. Now I just gotta persuade mom to make me a blogblast for peace pic!
Oh well. Maybe you still needed a pumpkin or two in the patch to tempt him?
That was pretty nice of Grete!
ps - Smoochies for my sidebar!
Yeah, next year for sure!! Hope you had a great Halloween!
We think it was sweet of Grete to wait with you for the Great Pumpkin! We're sure he'll show up next year!
Well, there's always next year, Linus....er, we mean, Jonesie!!
Shades of "Charlie Brown!" MOL!
Our mom will edit the date of our garden post for Friday, then!
I didn't see the great pumpkin either, something must have happened!
Awww - so sorry you didn't get to see the great pumpkin. It didn't show up here either, but a huge raccoon did! I was really mad and my tail got all poofy and I was howling really loud.
Oh goodness, Jonesie, The Great Pumpkin disappointed you? We watch Linus wait every year, too, and we keep hoping he will eventually show up... maybe next year.
Your friends, Fuzzy and Zoe
yes, maybe next year--he din't show up here, neither. we wonders if he was on staycation!!
Jonsie - that first pic would've been awesome for yesterday!! Very scary!
We're sorry that the Great Pumpkin didn't show up, if it makes you feel any better - he didn't show up here either!! Simon says he may not be real, but me & Jay KNOW otherwise!!
We hope you & Grete get to see the Great Pumpkin next year!!
Have a happy day!!
~Nico, Simon & JayJay :)
Jonsie, "The Great Squash" just doesn't have the same ring to it, sorry!
We like your gentle claw usage to get your Mom's attention. We'll make sure to do our gardening post on Friday...The Baby is thinking one up now!
Well, we are totally disgusted with the Great Pumpkin for not showing up for you! We may have to search him out and have a talk with him!
Uhm, Jonesie? You look a bit frightening in that first picture. Still feeling Halloweeny??
Sorry you did all that waiting and the Great Pumpkin didn't come. Nose kiss and hugs
I'm sure the Great Pumpkin came by the squash patch but maybe you had dosed off for a second and missed him :-)
Maybe the Great Squash will show up next year???
The Florida Furkids and Angel Sniffie
Just checking to see if you all made it home safely from my Halloween party. Thanks so much for stopping by. We must do something like this again.
The garden times here are over as winter is coming up. Thanks for reminding me about peace day on Thursday, have to get working on this.
our mrs H didn't report back about the peace day and the friday garden post so we missed out ENTIRELY. She really is slacking.. and we posted our gardening activities when we could have purred 'peace'. Love Darcy and Bingley xx
