I feel guilty for looking so happy. I am an only dog once again.
We started out fostering little Oliver and then grew to love him so we wanted to adopt him forever. Turns out that I didn't really understand what that meant. It meant all sorts of things I hadn't considered, most of which is how it impacted my kitties. Oliver and I played and played and played. I admit I got him all stirred up. It created chaos.
Oliver is just about the same size as Nigel, so he could get through every cat door so my kitties had no escape once I stirred him up.
He is now safely back with his rescuers. They love him and will make sure he gets a wonderful forever home. I'm proud of my few weeks of fostering the little guy. I showed him everything I know. I helped him with housebreaking and walking on a leash. We let him know he is a good boy who deserves the best.
It just won't be with us.

Oh, we feel bad for all of you. But sometimes you have to do the hard thing...we're sure Oliver wasn't happy being a naughty doggie and chasing your kitties, and the kitties didn't want to be pestered. You did a fine job, Grete, and we're very proud of you!
{{hugs}} to you, your kitties, and your Mom & Dad from alla us.
We do feel badly too, but of course the entire household has to be taken into account, and sometimes things just aren't right all round. We're glad you had Oliver for these weeks, though, and are happy to know he'll be with his rescuers until the right forever home comes along.
We're so sorry it didn't work out. But this way he has a chance at being in the right home for him. Hugs to all of you!
I am sure your family is sorry it didn't work out. But kitties who are frightened all the time of a doggie aren't happy kitties. So we understand.
Aw, Grete, we're sorry it didn't work out with Oliver. But we think it's great that you taught Oliver some stuff so that when he does find that furever home, he'll be so happy!!
Oh, we are sorry things didn't work out with Oliver but we are sure he will find a wonderful forever home, specially since you taught him so much.
You did the right thing even though it was hard for all of you. But, your kitties were there first, and they deserve to live out their remaining years in peace.
::ear scritches:: You all did a wonderful thing for Oliver, Grete=, for all the right reasons. People and animals come into our lives for a Reason, a Season or a Lifetime. You had Oliver for a Season, and he is certainly the better for it.
Love and hugs from alla us, especially Whitey xo
You guys did the best with love and care to him. It might be his destiny that's why he can't stay for long. Not easy for everyone in your house but more hardest decision must be your mom. She has to decide for majority. You all might have to give more hugs to your mom because she deserve more at this time : )

We are sorry that it didn't work out but everyone needs to be happy, and stressed kitties are not happy kitties.Grete, you did well trying to train Oliver but he will probably settle in better with a cat free home.
We are sorry you had to give Oliver back but know that it will be for the best. I am glad that you are happy Grete!
Ah Grete it's okay. Sometimes things just don't work out when you try to bring another friend into the mix. It's difficult but in the end it's what will be best for everyone, including sweet Oliver.
Purrs and Mom hugs.
Well Grete, it just doesn't always work out at first, but I think things happen for a reason. I was adopted once and they are really mean to me and the rescue ladies came and got me and look at me now! Oliver will have a wonderful home because he learned from the best, and he deserves it!
Sorry it didn't work out with Oliver, but he was lucky to be in your loving home for awhile and hopefully, will find his forever family very soon...Kisses, sweet friends, hugs to your parents...J, Calle, Halle, Sukki
That's too bad it didn't work out, but I get the feeling that all or most of the kitties in the family are pretty relieved!
Good for you Grete you did good teaching little Oliver all those good habits. Oliver will find a good forever home and your kitties will be happy they can relax and not be pestered. Nose kisses and hugs from Chancy and me.
Well Oliver did have a lovely time and we're sure he'll find a good home - and maybe they'll stay in touch?
We were sorry to hear that Oliver couldn't stay with you, but we know he'll find a wonderful new forever home.

Grete, we're so sorry it didn't work out. Oliver is such a sweetie, but we understand such a tiny and energetic woofie can be very stressful to kitties. It sounds like Oliver is with very nice rescuers who will find the perfect home for him, and he will be better prepared because of all the great stuff you taught him..
We hope the best fer Oliver...
Well that's okay, he'll still get to go to a good home. You did your best Grete and nodog could ask for more.
You're a good girl, Grete. We know that when Oliver finds his home, it will be all the more successful because of all the great learning and experiences he had at your house. Please give your mum a great big lick from us. It's unfortunate that the right decisions are often so difficult.
Poor Oliver ~ wot a setback for him. But he will always cherish the time he had wiv yoo and we are sure he learned a lot. And we do understand that the entire family has to be taken into consideration when adoption is considered.
Sometimes, one has to make tough decisions, knowing they are for the best in the longer term. We will cross our paws that Oliver will find a wonderful Forever Home very soon.
Oh how sad for Oliver. Maybe he needs a dog only home? He seems like such a sweet guy...we'll purr for him to find the perfect home!
well you gave it a go and sometimes it just isn't for the best route. Hope he finds a new home. Will they tell you when he does? Love Darcy and Bingley xx
We have been out of touch for the weekend, so we didn't see this news until now. It's too bad that Oliver couldn't stay, but it looks like there was no other choice. You did the right thing, Grete! Your kitties need protecting!
Well Grete, you have to take care of those you already have at home. It doesn't do much good to rescue another if it upsets the dynamic at home too much.
Thanks to the training you did give him, he will get a wonderful family to love him!
Mom is back from her vacation and we're catching up with your news. We are sorry that Oliver had to go back to the rescue, but it was a responseable thing to do. With a family as big as yours a newcomer can cause instability and trouble and there's no use in having efurryone unhappy, just because one is unable to let go again. We are absolutely sure that Oliver learned a lot during his stay with you and sure hope he'll find a good forever home soon.
Many purrs,
Siena & Chilli
