Nigel is an Angel

My precious King, Nigel, passed away suddenly this morning from congestive heart failure.   Just last night he seemed fine and sitting on the couch with us as we read.

Cats can hide so much of what is going on with them.

The doctor at the ER who saw him said he was in critical condition and there was nothing we could to do save him.  We were with him until his very last moments.

I will do a tribute post to him as soon as I can pull myself together enough to do it.   It seems so unfair that the last post was about celebrating his 5th Gotcha Day.   He was so very special.

  4. What?! OMC, I'm in shock. OMC, I'm so, so sorry. I wish there were words that could help right now, but having lost Chumley so unexpectedly of a blood clot, I know there's nothing anyone can say or write to help.

Just please, please know I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers, sending Universal Light. The boys are sending soft purrs and kitty kisses.

  7. What a shock. I am so sorry for your loss. Sounds just a bit like when I took Sabrina (dog) to the vet and had to have her put to sleep. I had no notice. She had just had some trouble walking. Thus, I know how it feels to have to make that decision so fast.

Your memories will soon be of the best times. Just know that ...

    Hugs to you,
JC and The Purr and Fur Gang
