::Meowwww::
zzzzzzzzz...oh wow! Sorry about that. I was taking a snooze in the closet.
So...where was I? Oh yeah, window snoopervising! It's my new skill. So for those "garden" cats out there who fuss about how they can't go outside...they don't have their own yard...I'm here to tell you there are no excuses! No barriers to you becoming an official Garden Cat!
Look!
I'm not a cat who likes to meow I told you so...but in this case....
Mom roasted the beets and made them into a yummy salad. Cory was in charge of making sure mom took a picture of the salad, but mom and dad scarfed it down so fast there is no photo.
I'm still waiting for dad to fix the fence so I can go outside. In the meantime, Grete woofie is the only one of us going outside.
She didn't have to rub it in!!!!
I thought Grete loved me!

Wow, garden left overs! Good call! I hope you get to go into your garden soon, but better safe than sorry!
ReplyDeleteWe don't know bout Grete, but we luf that last pic!!! Those beets looked pretty good to our Mom, too!
ReplyDeleteIt's still a bit chilly to want to go out and snoopervise though--but I think gardening plans are in the air! We have blueberry bushes. Now for a nice enough day to plant them...
ReplyDeleteWow, your garden just keeps on giving, Jonesie! I do want to say that even though I haven't been posting about it for a few weeks, my catnip is doing well, although my human pinched it back so early it looks more like ground cover than a plant. Maybe this will be a good thing eventually?
ReplyDeleteWe are "thinking" about gardening today ... beets sound very interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! Yes, I am still around, just have no help with posting and visiting. Our garden looks messy because SS has no time for it. Turning into a jungle soon, with all the rain about.
ReplyDeleteTell your dad to take a break from scarfing his food down (tee hee) and FIX the fence. That bit abowt scarfin' made me smile!
ReplyDeleteLove Alfie xx
Yeah, we are garden cats snoopervising from the windows too, Jonesie. But we still need to take a lesson from you...look at all that stuff your dad found when you told him to look more!
ReplyDeleteMommy says we don't really find beets here...and the few that she's seen are the size of limes. She never knew what to do with them though she loves how they look.
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait for your Daddy to get the fence fixed coz we want to see you tend to your garden again.
OH YUMMM - M says those beets look really good too.
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of pretty flowers to show everyone in our post so do come by. Those beets look very yummy, they are huge. Good thing you reminded your Dad about them. ~Scylla
ReplyDeleteAwww Jonesie, Grete loves you, she just has to be a little bit of a brat some times.
ReplyDeleteYour dad is lucky that he listened to you and found those beets still in the garden.
ReplyDeleteSigh! Our garden is under a foot of snow! We has had more snow in the last 2 weeks than we has had ALL winter!
ReplyDeleteKisses
Nellie
I am an EXCELLENT windowsill gardener. Is that kind of like an armchair quarterback?

Mmmmmm, beets! You have such a good memory Jonesie! You know what's what out there. I say put the Bitey on Dad to get him working on that fence for YOUR yard.
ReplyDeleteThe Human looooooves her beets. I say, Meh.
We let Lishy out in the garden today, and now he is grey. He's the worst gardening cat in town.
ReplyDeleteCory, darling, is cheddar the key to your heart?
ReplyDeleteOur fence is broken too. It's very annoying!
ReplyDeletemmm, roasted beets? sounds delish. good job for you meowing to gets those beets digged up!
ReplyDeleteWe hear the late Winter is the BEST time fer beets. Not that WE would eat anny, but TBT likes them.
ReplyDeleteOkay, my darling Cory, because I am a good and benevolent King, I went to check up on my loyal subject (aka ur boyfriend) Whitey, and it sure sounded like happy news to me! Altho my heart yearns just a little for you, I guess he needs his Cory Girl. Very glad to read he is better.
