Happy Independence Day!

What is it with silly humans?

Why do they feel the need to recreate "bombs bursting in air"?

Ginger's freaked out...Jonesie is upset that she can't go out in the garden...my eyes are as big as saucers...Grete is being brave, but she's suspicious.

The 4th of July is our least favorite day of the year!  It's going to get so loud that I won't even be able to hear myself sing to my daddy's sock.

Can't we just jump to July 5th?

I think I will just curl up in my mom's lap and watch The Tour de France and purrr.

  1. Come visit us. No fireworks in the city of Sammamish and so it's pretty quiet--only a few people doing anything illegal...

  2. Such a great post; we totally agree, but there is a burn ban this year here, so we got lucky with no fireworks=we usually hide under the bed from those bombs bursting in the air...We really love the idea of you singing to your socks, gorgeous Cory!!...Happy 5th of July to all of you sweet friends...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

  4. Fireworks are illegal here because of the high fire danger, and yet people go to the beach and set off all kinds of stupid loud things. Ugh. We should be out from under the bed sometime later in the week.

  5. Over here, the air conditioner is drowning out the firework noises, so we are lucky!

  11. Cory, I hope it isn't as bad as you expect. I don't seem to perturbed by the area fireworks shows but they are not too loud. We are waiting to see how Audrey reacts. She seems a more sensitive/jumpy kitty than me.

  22. Too right!!! We live near the Olympic Park and there are bombs in the sky going off quite frequently, not just once a year. Not that we actually see anything, just the noise. At least your parents get a day off to snuggle with you.
