I scared myself the other day. I never go outside without 110% supervision. I never try to escape.
I guess I should never say never. This past weekend when mom came in the house with groceries...and she knew that dad and Grete were coming in right behind her...she didn't watch the door that closely.
Mom went in the house and didn't notice I had slipped outside. By myself.
When dad came in with Grete about a minute later they found me on the deck, pawing at the door, yowling to get inside. My eyes were HUGE! Both my moms were on the other side of the door and I didn't know what to do! It's a big world out there and it's scary with out your moms.
Dad brought me inside and I ran right for my momma Ellie.
I got a tongue bath that lasted quite awhile.
Outside is ascary! The ceiling is way too high! Stay inside where you is safe, Cory!

PS : about my post today, My dad think the same way as you to leave some food for other kitties, and then it end up with so many fights in my backyard. Not just me and other cats but the rest of them fight to each others ( Smudge and the white cat ) Finally, mom have to keep it indoor.

We like the outdoors, but we got used to it gradually and we are never outside alone! Alone would be scary. We are glad ya got back inside quickly!
