SMART Monday

In case you haven't heard, there is big news in the Catblogosphere this week.  My good furriend Fin and her mom have finally published her book and you can find it here.  I think this is just the coolest news ever, but I got concerned.  I mean I can count on my mom to get it and read it to me, but I want more.  If my pal Fin can write a book, I want to read it myself.  So I have to get busy.  It's time to Start Making A Reader out of Cory Today!

Mom got me my first reader so I can practice and be ready for when Fin's book arrives. I think it works well to scratch the little itch I have on my face.

I think something is missing.  I think mom is supposed to put Tillamook Cheese in the little red bowl to motivate me to read.
Uh, maybe I can just have mom read me Fin's book.  This might take awhile.

  3. My human eats while she's reading stuff on the computer all the time - that is proof that you need food to be able to read! But maybe it's easier to just have your human read Fin's book to you anyway.

  5. Cool!!! Thanks for telling us about that book! Mom has taught us to tell time, but we pretend that we don't understand - though we do. We know that dinner is when the clock looks like it has a line down the middle of it (dinner o'clock we call it!!). But we haven't yet learned to READ words. Maybe she will try to teach us. Have a great day! Purrs, Lautrec and Tiny (Weezdabadcats)

  7. We think it's probably easier for your mom to read the book to you. :-)

Last week we looked for Fin's book on Amazon.ca, but it wasn't there. We're hoping it sells in Canada too!

  10. Awwwww ... mom said this post brought back bittersweet memories that made her tearful. She had one of these "Teach yoor cat to read" kits when her beloved siamese cat Henry was alive. He used to love to learn a noo word each day as he eated his brekkie. He was a very clever boy and mom still misses him a lot.

We agree ~ we fink Tillamook cheese wud be a very good incentive for yoo.

  28. You are just too, too funny, Cory! I'm so glad for Fin's Mom, too and I already ordered a copy for our house. It's a honour to know a published author and her muse.

Books are good for all kinds of things, but I never thought they came with food dishes! That's a first. Of course, it's just a big tease if it's empty.
