No Fair Friday

I've been in isolation for days and days and days...or so it seems. Ok, I was in isolation for 2 whole days.  I've been blamed for the spread of the kitty cold that's been going around here.  Seems my desire to lick and wash and fuss over everyone is preventing the containment of the germs.  I've been called ::shudder:: Typhoid Mary.  Can you believe the injustice of it all?  All I do is be a good mother to everyone and this is the thanks I get?   Locked in a room with only a couch and a bunch of chairs and a basket of cat toys and only 3 scratching posts and 1 cat bed...and only 1 large fleecy blanket and 3 large windows.  Oh yeah there is the inflatable bed that mom and dad sleep on to keep me company.  There ought to be a law.   I finally sprung myself after causing so much fuss they felt sorry for me.

Come to think of it, the private litter box was kind of nice.

  2. Oh that is so sad to be all alone! I can't stand being alone--even if I don't like Gemini--it's better with her than without her!

  3. Ohhhh, poor Ellie. We're glad to hear you've been released from kitty jail! And we hope all the kitties are okay now.

  4. I hope that every cat has gotten over the cold. Being alone is just unacceptable, even with all that stuff to keep you busy.

  5. Around here, whenever there is a door closed, I need to be on the other side of it, so I feel your pain. Does sound like you had a pretty good setup, though!

  6. Poor Ellie! You must have been very lonely! We're glad that you got out of the playroom. Um, we mean, the isolation room.

Have a good weekend! Hope all of you are feeling better.

  8. Doesn't sound fair to us, but your humans are much nicer than ours. She makes poor Joya (da brat) sleep by herself. Come to think of it we like it that way cuz we get to sleep with her.

Get over your colds really quick.

  9. How cruel....do they have forensic PROOF that you are the source of the colds? Did you try playing a 2 hour drum solo on the door? I think you should put a nice juicy hairball in one of their shoes in compensation.......

  10. Oh Ellie, isolation at your place sounds unbearable.
You know what? Mom saw Chilli sniffing every couple of hours and her right eye running. She's going to try L-Lysine on us now which comes as a powder. That should be easier for you to obtain than the Engystol. We got the recomendation from two bloggers and did some search online. It sounds like a good supplement.
    Get better soon, sweetheart!

  15. Sounds like you were only missing one thing. Kitty companionship...but I guess that was the point...Good thing they slept with you though!

  16. We can't BELIEVE that you were confined in such spartan quarters. We are very relieved that your exile has ended.

  17. Sorry you were in isolation. I hope it worked and the others weren't infected. In our house there's no stopping it, one cold fits all. Those who are immune get through it. We currently have a little runny eye thing going on, but Yukon has it worst with sneezing. Get well soon all!

  26. Well you certainly had lots of creature comforts, Ellie, but you were missing the human and feline contact you so obviously crave.

I'll glad you've been sprung (even though spring is still a long way off)!

  27. Oh you poor kitty. You didn't deserve this. Only one blanket. So sad! How can they mistreat you so. Time to break out of that prison and ... what are we saying ... stay right where you are sounds pretty good to us!

  35. Ellie! My Mancats over here think you need to send an SOS signal - perhaps you can find a carrier pigeon and attache a note to it??

It IS pretty nice of your mommy and daddy to sleep with you - they gave up THEIR bed too!
