Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden!  I've been busy with planting.  We had to wait to plant my basil since it's been cold and raining.  The weather warmed up so I sent my mom and dad to the garden center to get lots!

Did you know that I only send my mom and dad to garden centers that have resident cats?  Yup.  The one we go to has 2 amazingly LARGE kitties who call it home.  There is a reason their plants are always so healthy.  They are purred over 24/7!

I can take it from where they left off.

Once the basil was safely tucked in the dirt, I had to inspect where dad planted my carrot seeds.  I think they may have washed away in the rain but I haven't given up hope yet.

One of our new artichoke plants is producing it's first baby artichoke.

Cory's toy cherry tree is getting ready to offer us nice ripe treats!

We still have lots of pretty flowers.

The colors are so pretty this time of year.

Mom says I'm pretty too.

  7. Great activity in your garden. Pretty soon, your humans will be eating artichoke. We imagine that basil smells wonderful when you inspect it.

  8. You are very pretty Jonesie, we thinks you are the prettiest thing in your garden.

    The nursery where Mommy buys her plants has resident doggies, they do a good job taking care of the plants too. Mommy says there may even be some cats around but she has never seen them.

  9. Wow, your garden is coming along great, Jonesie.

    Hey! Our dad-guy doesn't have any resident cats at his garden center...that WAS supposed to be Zoey...but he does have a resident bird...Scarlett, the African Gray Parrot.

  10. You are pretty, Jonesie! Your garden is looking lovely, too :)

    Everyone I know has trouble keeping the birds away from their cherry trees. Is that one of your jobs?
