Mother Daughter Monday

We got a lot of comments and questions after our video was posted yesterday.  We are girls who love our leafy greens.

We want to make sure we address your questions and comments.

First off, we are not buns in disguise.  In addition I have quizzed my momma Ellie well.  My daddy was not a bun.  Ellie's daddy and momma were not buns.

Yes, our mom does wash off the Swiss Chard after we've had our snack.  We think this is ridiculous since there is nothing whatsoever wrong with a little cat spit.  We are quite offended that she feels she needs to do this.  We will work on her.

Yes, what we eat in leafy greens stays down in our tummies.  We wouldn't dream of hacking up such a yummy snack.  It makes us feel good.

No, it does not make us ::whispers:: farty!  We thought it was a well known fact that girl kitties do not fart.  We have Grete to blame for that!  Girl woofies, yes.  Girl kitties, never.

  4. Shoot, we don't haf a woofie to blame dem farts on...maybe we should just ALWAYS blame Speedy. Even when he is in another room!

  5. We thought that chard was all for you, not to share with the humans. We still have to get our human to buy us some.

  6. :snigger: Yoo don't fart? How do yoo get rid of excess wind then? We FART! We do BIG, MANCATLY farts whenever we feel like it! Espeshully if we have visitors we don't like much! Tee hee!
When Alfie was a baby, he used to FART every time sumbuddy picked him up (unless it was Mom). Mom said he used FARTING as self defense ~ and it werked 'cos the strangers quickly put him back down!!!! Then he wud run to Mom to be cuddled.

  8. We don't eat green stuffs except for grass. And then we like to come inside and barf it up on the carpet so Momma can see we ate it.

But you've worried Alice because she DOES fart. . . but little, polite girly farts and ONLY in the mornings while she's laying on Momma's lap blogging and getting her back patted. Maybe Momma shouldn't pat her back quite so much?

  9. We tend to agree about the rudeness of washing the Swiss chard after you've snacked on it. But on the subject of rudeness... it's not so nice to be rude about our friend Grete either!!!

  10. Why do they wash them after you nibble? cat spit is delish! HaHaHaHaHa!

  11. I think you need to search your genealogy further back. I am sure there is bunny in your family somewhere.

  12. MOL!!!
When we had the iguana, Chevelle would get up on the counter and eat the leafy greens while I was making the iguana's dinner.

  13. I think your snack leaves looked pretty yummy and a little spit just adds flavor!

  14. Our Mom had a cat many years ago that once took off with a whole head of lettuce in her mouth, and she growled when Mommy tried to take it away from her, so she knows that some kitties just LOVE leafy greens! Enjoy!

  15. Thanks for clearing up those questions! We can't believe the humans don't like a little cat spit on the chard...it definitely adds some flavor!!

  16. Your Mom washes off that good cat spit? We'll never understand how Moms think!!

When Tamir was a lot younger Mom said he could "clear a room" when he ate stinky goodness.

  18. We admit we've never seen cats eat Swiss chard before. We all like grass, but some of us (no names...Annie) will barf it all back up. Our human shudders to think what would happen if we nommed on Swiss chard!

  24. We all love cat grass and weeds. Especially yakking it back up on the beige carpet squares. Sweet Pea enjoys strawberry tops!

We don't understand human's aversion to Cat Spit. How else do we small so good?

Grayce is a little bit embarassed...she's also known as "Gassy Cat" at our house!

  25. You are very funny today ...
    Cats farting ... never !!!

  26. We don't eat leafy greens at our house (well, we chew on the plants sometimes but we aren't supposed to) but we do have a gassy lady cat at our house. And she is really the only one who ever you know, farts, at our house - she has her whole life! But we think that is not normal for most girl and ladycats.

  27. Ellie and Cory obviously have the same genes for greens! I mean cats are definitely attracted to greens, but usually grass or other plants. That begs the question, why not swiss chard, or lettuce, or spinach?

Maybe they just know what's good for them.

  28. It's a good thing you two are so willing to check out the veggies for your mom. She should appreciate that!
