Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

It's the first fresh nip of spring.  Of course the old dried nip twigs from last year work well as dental floss.

I can't press my nose into it enough.

If you biggify, you can see my fur in the nip plant.

Yum!  I could gossip about what's been going on around here this past week....but the nip was too good.

Mom teased me this week.  Because of my nip "thing" she says I could star in a remake of "Reefer Madness".

  1. Since I don't like grass (see my blog today), mom says she'll try the nip next. Knowing me, I'll turn up my nose at it too.

  7. OMC Ginger! We blogged about the very same thing this morning. Momma cut all the old deaded stalks down so that she could rake the garden and I tested the cut stems for catnippy saps.

  8. Oh Ginger, you nip hussy! You better watch out, or your brothers and sisters will be gossiping about you!

  9. We had a taste from our tiny plants too. They are in a pot and mom brought it inside. One question, Ginger: We are planning a nip seed exchange and have asked Noll and Goldie so far. Would you and Jonesie be willing to let some plants set seed? We want to create the super nip plant and want to broaden the gene pool... And your nip looks FINE! In Autumn we will have to make up an itinery so the seeds can travel between each of us and efurryone takes out some and puts in some...

  12. Wow! Fresh nip...in the outdoors! You are so lucky! If our sunny warm weather (if you call 50 degrees warm) continues, we're gonna hafta get out there and check out our nip plants!

  13. Our Grampy and Mom have both tried to plant us fresh catnip, back in the days when we were allowed Outside. Sadly, we always eated it all up as soon as green showed through the dirts. We think you showed great restraint in allowing it to grow bigger, Ginger.

  16. Real nip, wow! Maybe our human will plant some this year, instead of just giving us the dried stuff. That's pretty good too, but we bet it's not nearly as good as fresh!

    GREAT tongue shot there. MOL.

  24. Ginger, your nip is growing good. Mine's not started yet, we're only now getting rid of the icky white stuff. I can't wait for spring. We've been able to sit on the porch and relax too, since it's been warmer.

  29. Dante and Dylan use the twigs for dental floss as well -- and it must be doing a good job. So, I really liked seeing you having your way with that bush, and the nip plant, too, Ginger! You're my kind of girl.
