Easy Sunday

I love the weekends! I get to go to the dog park and run and play and squeak my ball in the faces of other woofies. This past week was special because I met a new friend. I just love it when I see other dogs that look like me. This wonderful new friend is named Raven. She is only 5 1/2 months old and she thinks I'm cool. We played and played and I loved it.
Back at home, my kitties have a different idea on how to spend a fall weekend. When I got home, I was shocked to find out that they were taking over my toys. Mom had picked up all the toys from the floor so she could vacuum. I'm mean why would she do that? I don't have that many toys...why would she need to move them at all? Now how is a dog supposed to get a toy to play if this is what she is dealing with?
Jonesie was wondering why she has so few toys too. If it's raining and windy and she can't go outside, Jonesie thinks there ought to be way more toys. Time to start our Christmas list, don't you think?

  6. Grete, it looks like you're having a great time in the dog park. It's good that you can go meet other woofies like that.

And Jonesie, we agree that you don't have nearly enough toys. You should definitely add a whole bunch to your Christmas list!

  7. How wonderful that you made a new friend that looks like you, Grete! Raven sure is a good size for only 5-1/2 months old. Maybe that makes up for the kitties taking over your toys, although I must tell you, in the cats' minds, your toys already belong to them.

Good idea, Jonesie! Start your Christmas campaign now while it's early and before anyone else makes a list.

  9. Isn't it wonderful to make new friends, Grete?!

Maybe the cats found it comforting to be amongst your toys because they reminded them of you?!

  12. It's fun to make new friends. Maybe the kitties didn't think you needed your toys because you were playing in the park.

  14. I have heard of the old saying when the cat is away the mice will play. Well I think at your house when the doggie is away the cats play with your toys.
At least you may have lost your toys for awhile but looks like you met a good new friend at the park.
