Mancat Monday

Hi there!  I don't get to blog very often, but wanted to say  hi there and let you know how I'm doing.

Everyone loves me...my Cecilia gives me head bumps and Ginger and I exchange friendly swats at each other.   Whenever I look at mom this way she gets all melty and stuff.

She talks at me all the time but I can't hear a word she says.   It doesn't matter.  I feel her words.  I feel loved.

I am an old man and I move around kinda slow, but life is good.

Tired Tuesday

There's something about a warm basket of laundry.  Fresh from the dryer.

Irresistible.  Comfy.

Momma Meezer and Mitten Monday

For all of my life, my momma Ellie has watched out for me.  She nursed me, taught me everything I know and washed me.  She still washes me.  She is especially good at ear scrubbing.  But best of all, she loves me.

I love her.

So when I have a chance to watch over her while she sleeps, it makes me purr.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

After yesterday's post, I'm sure you are wondering.  As rule abiding members of the Society of Feline Gardeners are you asking yourself? Did I, Jonesie Marie, give out the super secret password to the Society?

Nope!

I can't be in the garden 24/7.  When it starts to get dark, I'm an inside girl.  So...we have 2 shifts here.  The day shift...the one I blog about.  The night shift...the mysterious dark side.

So once I am safely tucked inside, all the critters that call my garden their home, come out to play.

I prefer seeing them on mom's new candid camera set up.   I really don't want to see Rocky Raccoon or Pepe Le Pew up close and personal.

I know I have to share my garden, and I'm ok with that.

I'm a generous girl.

Do you have to share your garden?

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

*kiss*

Oh, excuse us!  We have big news!  Mom and dad have been talking about getting a "critter cam"...for like...forever!  They finally stopped talking about it and bought one.

It's more than a camera, it's a surveillance system!  That means mom and dad will be able to see all the riff raff that comes through the yard...drinks my water and stuff.  They can watch real time or if there is motion, a video is recorded.  It's WAY cool!

See it?  It's pointed at the communal water bowl.  It's a temporary set up for now to see what the best camera angles are.  Do you know what?  The first night we set it up mom and dad saw Pepe, our resident skunk getting a quick drink.  Later one of our big raccoons dipped his paws in the water!

Hopefully mom and dad will figure out how to get video off the system so I can post it here.

Mancat Monday

Excuse me....Blue Man...Mr. Blue...Blue....sheesh.  Don't think that I didn't notice you hanging out with my mom for a photo shoot.   I heard her swooning over you.  Calling you handsome.

I heard mom quickly shift to "don't worry Figaro, he's not more handsome than you"!

My feline feelings are hurt.

Ok, I'll hang out with you.  Maybe.

You like my wood pile?

Now you are going to play King of the Wood Pile?  I don't like that a bit!

And now you blow raspberries at me?  Harrumph!

I am more handsome than you.  My mom says so.
So it must be true.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Prepare to get your paws wet!  It's been raining and blustery in my garden.

The days continue to get shorter and by the time mom gets home from work, it's dark outside.   I miss the long sunny evenings of summer.   I sniff the fall air and find that I love all seasons in my garden for different reasons.  This time of year the smell of fallen leaves and wet grass makes me grateful for my warm home and family.

Since dad fixed the roof to the gazebo, I have a dry place to hang out when the rain starts.  The cushions are still on the outdoor furniture.  If mom were brave enough to show you a close up of the cushions, you'd see a lot of gray fur!

When we get a break from the rain, there is nothing else I would rather do besides sit in my garden and purrr.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

::rolls eyes::

As if you would be fooled into thinking that this photo was taken in November.  Clearly you can tell my mom is trying to pass off a summer photo as something current.

Never fear, I look as handsome as ever.  It's just that the weather outside has been a bit chilly and I'm staying indoors with my pals.

But furriends...you wouldn't believe the horror of my day.  Mom was fussing over Madison.  He's old and can't quite groom himself the way he used to.  But that means mom is fussing over him.  Brushing him.  Furminating him.

What about ME??

I love to be brushed, I love to be Furminated.  Yeah I admit throwing a few punches at Madison when he's getting attention...but I didn't deserve what happened to me.

Mom stepped on me!   You heard me right.  She stepped on me!

Now mom will say it's because I was underfoot and trying to steal Madison's time...but

SHE STEPPED ON ME!!!!!!

I can assure you that being prone to drama worked in my favor.  Mom swooped me up...cooed and told me that she would never ever do anything like that on purpose. She carried me around and kissed me until I purred.   All my paws were tested to make sure they still worked.

Oh it was awesome.

Mitten Monday

November.  The time of year when it's dark outside and mom can't get good sharp photos of me inside.  She refuses to use a flash because that makes me look even worse.  I'll settle for a wee bit of blur.

As long and me and my mom's sock are together.

I think mom is done gallivanting for awhile...and I should have a full time mom assistant through the holidays.

Purrrrr....
