Momma Meezer and Mitten Monday

We're mother and daughter.

We do everything together.

If momma looks left, I look left.

If momma looks right, I look right.

If she looks ahead, so do I.

Well, sometimes I don't.

National Hairball Awareness Day!

Hi there everyone!  Cory and Figaro here to celebrate National Hairball Awareness Day.  Did you know that with all of us kitties and a woofie here at Casa de Cory we produce a whole lotta floof!?  Yup, it keeps mom busy all the time.   Mom has a whole collection of brushes and combs but her favorite grooming tool of all time is the FURminator.  It's the only thing that works for all of us.  Some of us...who shall remain nameless...uh...US...are squirmy and so mom has to work fast to get some of our shedding floof.  The FURminator can get more floof per second than any of our other brushes and stuff.

So anyway, mom was offered a free FURminator to participate in this year's National Hairball Awareness Day contest.  All mom had to do was convince us the be de-floofed for charity!  I thought...for a second and agreed.

So did Figaro

Ok, so did all of the kitties in our house!   Mom quickly produced a pile of furs to create a Hairball Celebrity.

Mom used Figgy's white fur for the face of our Gene "Hairball" Simmons furball.  Then she used my black furs for his hair and face.   I think mom messed up using pipe cleaner for his tongue...next time I will advise mom to use felt or something like that...or maybe she could have colored Figgy's fur pink!  Ha!

So...what's cool is that we were chosen as one of 5 finalists by FURminator which means we have won stuff for our charity, United Paws of Tillamook.  The winning furball will get $1000 for their charity.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Hi there!  Welcome back to my garden.  The past week has been a mixed bag of sun and rain.  It's making my daddy crazy because the grass is growing a ton.  That means daddy is mowing a lot and making noise.  I don't like the noise, but I sure like the green carpet I get when he's done.

The Rhododendron started to bloom.

So did the Dogwood tree.  Grete says this tree is her favorite.  I think she just likes that it's named after a woofie.

The Swiss Chard is looking lovely and Ellie loves to eat it.  Mom lets Ellie know that her adoring sister Jonesie grew it special just for her.

And you know what?   After my good pals the Poupounette Gang said that dandelions are beautiful and I should not diss them just because they are not exactly like my mom's favorite daisies...I took a second look.  They are right.  Dandelions ARE beautiful.

   A garden cat's work is never done, but I love every second of it.

Cory Sings

Hey there!  Me again.  I decided that since I've been so generous allowing all my fursiblings face time on the blog, I could get more days this week.
So yesterday, my furriend Sparkle wanted to know if my mom ever got a video of me singing to my beloved socks.  I am quite reserved about my talent and I mostly perform my arias in the middle of the night or early morning when no one is watching.   Every once in awhile I'll sing in the middle of the day.
This happened a couple of years ago and mom caught me.  Mom posted it a couple of years ago, but I have so many new furriends that it's time I shared it again.   Mom still tries to get me on camera, but this video from 2 years ago is still the best.

Mitten Monday

Hi there!  Hope you haven't forgotten about me.  Seems my fur siblings have taken over my bloggie.  I had to put my paw down to take it back over!

There has been lots going on here, but know that I've been doing well and my serenade's to the family socks have been going strong.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden.  Please join me in taking in a big sniff of the spring air!  Oh this smells so lovely.  I just can't get enough of it.

Mom is thrilled that her favorite daisies are blooming again.  She waits all  year for this moment.  It makes me purr thinking I had a paw in making this happen.

Dad had to transplant some of our nip plants.  He had to make room for some baby onion plants that went in the ground this past weekend.  We were supposed to plant them earlier but the ground was too soggy.  As you know I use my tried and true paw technique to test the moisture level in the soil.  If I shake out my paw...it's too wet and the planting must wait.

Hmmmm...as you can see under my paws, there are yellow flowers growing.  Don't be fooled into thinking they are mom's favorite daisies!  They are dandelions.  Fakers!!!!  I will make sure dad pulls them out right away.

Ah yes...the photo below.  Real beautiful daisies!

Our native Bleeding Heart is starting to bloom.

Here is a view of our Weeping Willow tree.  If you biggify and look real close you can see the support wires we have helping to hold it all together and keep it strong.

Well furriends, I got lots to do so I'm off to snoopervise!   Hope all is going well in your garden.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

Hey there gossip fans, Ginger here!

Whoa, it's been a news filled week here at Casa de Ginger Cory.   So Cecilia abandoned us and traded herself up to a house where she doesn't have to deal with us.  Sheesh.  Like we are so bad.  Ok, I admit it, we have never really got along.  She intimidated me.  Yeah I know, I'm like twice her size, but I've kinda been afraid of her.  And the deal with Bennette.  Wow!  Girl wars are something I want nothing to deal with.

You know how I hate drama.

::rolls eyes::

So I'm spending some quality time rolling in the weed garden.

And my new roommate Madison?  Um, he's been slipping a bit since he's been living the life in the bachelor pad...no girls to keep him in line.

I was afraid to say something...like uh...buddy...did you forget something?

Is that something on your nose?

Not like I would say something to someone and embarrass him.  No way...just between us guys.
