Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::3 paw taps::

Sometimes I hope and purr that I'll be able to take a day off.  You'd think Figaro could take over primary garden snoopervision duties once in awhile.  He assists, but has yet to take charge.

It's up to me to watch the garden grow.

I had meows with Figgy, but it turned into a hissy fit on my part.  He just shrugs it off.

He did start catching bugs shortly after our discussion, so something got through to his furry little brain.

Then...sigh...the slackers show up.  First Remington thought exposing his belly to the squash would help them grow.

Then Figaro joined in since he thought it was a good idea.

Then Ginger...any excuse to expose her belly fur in the name of encouraging garden growth.

A garden cat's work is never done.

In honor of International Box Day, Bennette and Ellie show how it's done!

Please leave a link and see what all the other garden cats are doing this week!

Tuxie Tuesday

Hey there!

It's about time I got some blog time.  Thanks to my good furriends Ayla, Iza and Marley I finally am getting my paws on this blog.

Seems my sister Jonesie revealed that one of my nicknames is G-Moo.  My furriends wanted to know more about how I got the name.

See...when I first arrived here, I was just hanging out in the garden.  My mom and dad give names to every cat that strolls through on a regular basis.  Since I has been hanging out and showed promise of never leaving, they had to call me something.

Because of my gorgeous milk moustache, they started calling me "Miss Got Milk".  Silly, I know, but hey who was I to argue?  They were feeding me!

As it goes with lazy humans, saying the whole thing was just too much for them, so they shortened it to G-Moo.  That's how their crazy minds work.

Crazy...but I love them!

Mitten Monday

I wanted to show you some of what happens behind the scenes here at my blog.  I can be hard to photograph, but mom never loses patience with me.

I will give in and give her the good pose...the rest is up to her.

Sometimes I get bored with the whole process.

I'd rather be playing...

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

"Comin' Outta My Ears"

My bestest furriend in the whole wide world, Alfie Marshall (age 2), passed along a fun meme!

I have to answer questions and stuff...

The first question is kinda embarrassing...for a modest cat...

Do I think I'm HOT?

I'll let you decide...modesty prevents me from answering.

Ok, now I've got to upload a picture or wallpaper we are using:

Mom is kinda nuts over this graphic of Cory and her momma Ellie.  Our lovely friends at Zoolatry created this for mom and it's been the wallpaper on mom's computer ever since.

When's the last time we ate chicken?

Are you kidding me...Cory lives here.  We get chicken Fancy Feast every day!

What is the song we've listened too most recently?

Besides Figaro snoring while he's supposed to be watching the garden grow...we listened to Cory's sock song.  It's a beautiful thing.

What are we thinking while we are doing this?

It's clear Figaro is not thinking of anything...and I'm thinking about this years basil crop.

Do we have nicknames?

I'm called Joanie Jett and Jones and a few more things I'll never admit.   Grete is sometimes call Lou Lou.  Figaro is call Figgy and Figster.  Cory is Mitten and Ellie is Momma.   Bennette is Ben Ben and G-Moo.  Cecilia is Ceelee.  Madison forbade us from revealing his nicknames.  Nigel really doesn't have any because mom feels he got the perfect name for him, so no reason to call him anything else...unless it's just goofy lovey things.

And Ginger...don't get me started...

Now I'm supposed to tag 8 furriends.

I'm getting sleepy and want to tag ALL of my garden society furriends.  Leave a link and consider yourself tagged!

Tuxie Tuesday

I had to go to the groomers last week.  Apparently, I was less than purrfect...with big ol' mats under my paw pits and on my bum.  I wouldn't let mom brush them out.  Every time she came near with with the Furminator, I'd run.

Now that I'm back, I feel fantastic!  I can air out my furs and not have any excess fluff in my way.

The best thing to do...especially if you are a mancat and you come back from a groomers smelling...um...pretty...is go out and roll in the dirt and nip.

Mom gets all goofy when I crinkle up my nose like this.

Ah yes...I smell like a man once again!

Momma Meezer Monday

Mom, I am not thrilled.  Our lives are turned upside down and the litterbox room is STILL not done.

The faucets are still all wrapped, there is cardboard on the counter top and I'm still being locked away EVERY DAY!  This MUST STOP NOW.  I'm the momma and I said so.

What do you mean the contractors won't work overtime for catnip?

Hi there!  I'm rolling in the grass enjoying my flowers.  My good pals Socks, Scylla, Artemisia and Fenris are hosting a flower show today!  I sent some of my prize flowers for them to show, but thought it would be fun to participate here as well.

Enjoy!

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie and Friends

::3 paw taps::

Welcome back to my garden.  Seems I've got a bit of explaining to do.  I heard that Ginger was spreading rumors about me and Cecilia snoozing on the job.  We take our gardening VERY seriously.  Well...at least I do.  Cecilia is the bug and mousie hunter.  She takes that VERY seriously.

While I may have looked asleep, any kitty could see that my eyes were open.

I saw Remington wander in and enjoy a roll on my seedlings.  He may be cheeky, but he's awfully handsome.  I bet you didn't know that he let's us hang out in his garden too.   As a savvy gardencat I know that the seedlings will pop back and be just fine.

See?  Cecilia was awake and watching him too!

I got a closer look at the seedlings to double check that they were just fine.

Ginger....sheeesh....it's tough when your sister is a gossip.

I think I'll wash my paws...

Did I forget something?

I'm outta here.  Gotta complete my snoopervision duties!

Please leave a link so all the garden cats can catch up with each other.
