We have a neighborhood cat, Mimi, who climbed the wood fence into our personal yard. She intimidated Jack, and finally they had a big loud fight. She still comes around, but she stays on her side of the fence.
Cecilia, we sure hope you weren't embarrassed by not recognizing Remington. You know, there's so many of us here that sometimes we forget who's who and we have to engage in a little hissing.
Please tell Jonsie that we think she's doing a great job with the corn...mmmmmmm, corn, buttery plates...
Hey Cecilia, don't feel bad...I did the same thing to LAUTREC!!! I swear I need glasses, but you are sooo right, a girl just can't be too careful. If I find out where are girl kitty can get some good introoder spotting glasses, I'll text you the address, k? Purrs to you sister, Tiny P.S. I agree with Au and Target...guests should bring presents (e.g. dead/live mice, niptinis, salmon, string, steak, etc.)
Cecilia, we think Remington might have a crush on you=just coming by for a visit for no reason at all :)...Keep your eye on that cute boy, beautiful friend!!...Happy Friday...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
Well, it's nice to see that Cecilia finally recognized Remington and welcomed him by flopping onto her side. A sign of true submission if ever I saw one!

PeeEssWoo: Hi Grete!
Neighbouring cats need to remember that invitations are necessary for visiting the yard.
Good job guarding, furry good.

I don't blame you for being upset. Even a neighbor should wait for an invitation.
I think it is smart to try and run off neighbor cats. After all, why are they in your yard and not theirs?
Guests should bring PRESENTS!
Maybe he just smelled a little funny today.

Did Remington somehow look different in the sunlight?
You need us to protect you my dear?
That's Ok Cecilia. Sometimes when we're Outside, I forget who jane is and when I see her I get all puffy.

Maybe next time Remington should wait for an invitation.
You're right, it never hurts to be too careful. You never know if there will be an evil kitty in disguise!
We think Remington will call before he shows up next time.

Hey, better safe than sorry, right? Glad it all worked out in the end, though! :)

Oh Cecilia how brave were you standing up to intruder! I don't think I could of been that brave.
